    Great location. Lovely staff.

    rating29 May 2026

The good things first, The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. The location is close to the Marquês de Pombal metro, the Avenida da Liberdade, and the Parque Eduardo V11. There’s also a supermarket close by. The breakfast is well set out with some nice looking patisserie. Unfortunately as I cannot eat gluten I couldn’t eat any. The staff provided gluten free bread but it would have been nice to have, at least, a gluten free croissant or some almond flour sponge cake. Some GF intolerant people are also intolerant to dairy, or at least cannot eat too much of it, [which would also rule out the cheese and yoghurt options]. The fruit and very small Chia pudding & Yoghurt pots were nice… The lift is small so for those preferring to use the stairs there’s no hand rail, and none at the few steps in the entrance, so that could be risky for less agile and mobile people. There’s also no hand rail in the shower, and no grips in the shower tray. I nearly slipped in the shower twice once the soap suds were on the tray. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the balcony not really big enough to sit out on. There was barely room for the small table and chairs. The TV didn’t work but the staff got it fixed quickly. There’s a coffee and tea making machine in the room. The coffee is ok but the tea is awful! It didn’t taste like tea. It was very weak and had the taste of coffee in it. I’d have preferred a small kettle and the Tetley Black Tea bags used at breakfast. There’s a charge for the drinks and the water left in the room (In most hotels and B&B places they are complimentary). There’s also no fridge, no milk, not even powdered milk sachets or coffee creamer sachets. If you just need a central place to stay in Lisbon for a few days it’s okay, but too small for more than one person, unless you choose the larger rooms. Having said all this I’d stay again, simply because the apartments were clean, very well located, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The week in Lisbon, overall, was very enjoyable. It’s worth taking a train to Cascais, and Sintra.

    4 night stay

    rating01 Oct 2025

Stayed here for a 4 night break in Lisbon. Loved it and the city. We were in the studio room, well appointed kitchen in it, other than no kettle, which seemed strange (only complaint) Comfortable double bed and good space which seemed clean. Breakfast area outside was nice space, and decent selection of breakfast products for space available. Probably about 20 minutes from the main square, so something to consider as do quite a bit of walking anyway exploring the city. Overall a good base for the fit and healthy, great price too from memory

Very unflexible stafs. Too expensive for what is offered

We decided spontaneously to extend our stay in Lisbon with 2 nights, but unfortunately the hotel where we stayed did not have availability to extend our booking. So we booked at LX51 Studios and Suites which was in the same neighborhood. We decided to rather book a local hotel and support the local business than the international chain, which was just around the corner, and we deeply regretted our choice immediately after arrival. We booked a double room with a balcony and prepaid online the day before check-in. On arrival we were told we cannot stay in the room we booked, as it was for 2 adults and we were 2 adults and our 4Y kid. We explained that the kid always sleeps in our bed, so we don't need an extra bed. The woman at the reception said it was against the Portuguese regulations and they can loose their rights to operate. I replayed that we've been in a few other hotels (big chain hotels btw, which would not risk not following the regulations) and our child was always welcome, without a problem. Then she said every hotel had their own rules and according to their rules it is not permitted to be 3 pax in a dbl room, so it was not very clear if the hotel will loose their rights to operate from their own rules... Obviously she was lying to us. Btw on booking.com it was saying that children are welcome to the property. Obviously not.. "Luckily" they had a 2-rooms apartment and they could change our booking with it. But this will cost us extra 100 EUR, so in total 326. With a discount, she explained later! We said that we would rather go somewhere else, but they refused to refund us, and explained our booking was non-refundable. So not possible to give us the room we booked, but also no refund... A total scam...When I commented that they are forcing us to stay there and pay more, she replied that it is our choice to stay or not, but they don't refund us if we decide to go. So in the end we had to pay extra which was out of our planned budget and changed the plans for the rest of our vacation and ruined the excitement to stay longer. An unforgettable experience! The apartment was nothing we expected. No balcony, as we booked our room particularly to be with a balcony. There was a patio area at the reception, but with very uncomfortable chairs and no view. NO FRIDGE?! For a "Superior Suit" a little fridge is a must!!! Bathroom in the sleeping room, with lights button in the outside and a door that needs to be oiled, as it was loud and difficult to close. You have to sleep as a stone to not wake up when someone goes to the bathroom at night. Also the bathroom is situated in one of the sleeping rooms and there are two sleeping rooms... Not really cosy and comfortable. Breakfast very mediocre. I was okay with it but my man and kid did not like the choice and we had to buy breakfast for them after going out. Not really what you expect when you book a hotel with breakfast included and pay 100 eur extra for a 4 Y kid for 2 nights. Coffee was terrible. On the departure day I felt bad in my stomach after having breakfast. Rooms were cleaned after the night, but the used glasses were still left on the table and not changed. The hotel is good located, rooms are clean and nicely furnished, and if you don't mind risking to get cheated, you can stay there. But as a travel agent I don't recommend you staying there! We are definitely not going back!

    Lovely hotel

    rating26 Feb 2025

This hotel was right at Pink St. A 5 minute walk to the seaside . It was lovely. Many restaurants and bars to choose from and the staff was very kind. We were not able to enjoy the breakfast as we had excursions early, but we asked if they could make us a sandwich for the morning and for 2 mornings they had it ready for us at the front desk.

    Amazing stay at LX51 studios.

    rating31 Dec 2024

Lx51 was the warmest stay I had in Portugal. Their front of house reception is of a high quality. I traveled on my own waiting for the rest of my family to arrive from South Africa and my stay was made as comfortable. I would like to give a special thank you to Sonia and Miguel for their hospitality and making sure that I could have the best stay possible while waiting to meet my family. The breakfast was amazing at theLX51 Studio. The chef had a selection of wonderful deserts that was a favorite for me. There was also a lovely indoor patio area to enjoy breakfast under the blue skies. I highly recommend this stay, it's close to the city center and everything was within walking distance.
