    Great location, very central but quiet - we had a suite right next door to the lift but didn’t hear anything. Room was very clean and had everything you could need but wasn’t hugely spacious. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming.     We really enjoyed our stay here. The stay was really enhanced on arrival where Diogo and Manuel C helped us check in and get a feel for the city, including the food scene. The hotel is very close to Sao Bento railway station and many local attractions including many restaurants, cafes and bars. The Duoro is very close and the shopping precinct is also very close as well. The room we had was a garden view. It was well appointed with a coffee machine and a fridge. There was a safe, ironing board and iron. The WiFi was excellent and there were many english language TV channels. The bar was great, featuring local beverages and food. Ricardo who served us most nights and Francisco were really engaging and told us a lot about Portuguese culture and Porto. We loved staying here and will again.

    My favorite hotel in Porto - centrally located typical modern Mercure, with comfortable rooms, good breakfast and very friendly, professional staff. Pity there is no inside pool and sauna.     Excellent Stay at Mercure Porto Centro Aliados

    I had a wonderful experience at the Mercure Porto Centro Aliados during my trip to Porto. The hotel was excellent in every way. The service was warm and attentive, and the breakfast buffet was very good—with plenty of options, high-quality food, and great flavor.The rooms were modern and beautifully designed. I especially loved having a Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. My room also had a lovely balcony overlooking the patio, and everything was spotless. I had zero issues during my stay.We were a large group—13 people total (10 adults and 3 kids) across five rooms—and everyone enjoyed their time at the hotel. The only issue was that my in-laws’ room had a problem with the air conditioning, but the front desk staff immediately offered another room and resolved the situation quickly. After that, everything was smooth.The staff also helped us coordinate transportation to the train station, which was very convenient. My father-in-law ate at the hotel restaurant a couple of times and said the food was amazing.Overall, the hotel offers great value for what you get. It’s centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions and sightseeing spots. I highly recommend Mercure Porto Centro Aliados, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Porto.
