  Clean, nice size room. Management can’t speak much English, was difficult to understand which made her a bit angry when we couldn’t understand. Hotel is a little far away from the main city centre but we enjoyed the walk to and from. Only annoying thing was no kettle/tea facilities in the room but other than that everything was fine, room got cleaned daily with fresh towels also.

  Run as fast as you can away from this dump. Its website is full of lies. On arrival we met an exceptionally bad tempered woman who reluctantly let us leave our suitcase in the lobby as we could not get into our room until 6pm! She spoke no English. Our room was at the very top of a steep 3 flights of stairs, there was no lift and no offer of help with baggage. The woman who appeared on reception did not speak English but managed well enough to demand 24 euros each before handing over the key. In the room there were stained mattresses with no mattress covers on, no covers on the pillows which were basically cushions stuffed into a pillow case. There were old manky blankets instead of duvets. The shower was broken and could not be adjusted. There was black mould in the bathroom, a broken extractor fan, no kettle in the room, constant noise, no one on reception during our stay and only saw one person during our stay and she could not speak any English although it advertises several languages spoken. Managed to communicate in broken Spanish to the cleaner - she was Colombian. She was trying her hardest to be helpful but really couldn't help. We had to beg her for clean towels after 3 days.We had no local info but managed to find that out for ourselves at the tourist shop. Owner/manager no where to be seen. The room was stuffed with a dining table and chairs and a 3-4 seater couch as well as 3 beds - it wasn't a big room and there were 3 of us. I think maybe it was their idea of a "family room"? There was one wardrobe and no coat hangers. There was no safe so we had to constantly have all our valuables/passports with us at all times. Constant demolition right next to our room, ominous cracks started appearing on our wall and bedroom door frame. Could not open any windows because of the dust from demolition.The whole place is rundown. The front door has smashed glass, it honestly looked like a bullet hole in it. The whole house looks nothing like a hotel from the outside, more like a run down "boarding" house for hourly visitors. Other than that Porto itself was fab.

  Room ok check in a nightmare, shower was great, room clean but to actually check in was not easy. Check in is not at property but across the road (a passing member of public pointed us in right direction) English not spoken well. It’s ok if you’re willing to try the check in system

  This place is actually an old motel that has clearly gone bankrupt and still tries to get naive customers to a trap. It smells of mold, there is no shower ( just a broken whirlpool ), there is no maintenance and the staff is clearly unwilling to look after the guests. To make it worse - if possible - they tried to cheat Booking pretending I was not there ( although I have my credit cards statements to prove ) just not to pay their commission. When I wrote this on the Booking review the owner was extremely impolite and aggressive , as his plote was denounced. Honestly, it makes no sense staying there even if it was for free. Run away from this joint!!

  Pleasant .... but needs some attention

  On arrival we were greeted by a staff member, who was polite but a little rushed. They then took us across the road to another building. The room was clean and spacious. However the decor was a little tacky for our liking. Some areas of the room needed attention, the blind was ripped on the sides, hangers were mismatched, most of all the mattress was very uncomfortable. It sagged in the middle.
