  General info: We had a private room on a shared bathroom floor. When the elevator is broken it's quite a few stairs, but they are wide and easy to navigate. The common kitchen area can be cramped when others are using it. We didn't do any tours, but Nice Way hosts several.Exceptional. The room was very nice. The shared bathroom was cleaned regularly. The common area bar and lounge were welcoming. The staff were super friendly. The happy hour and drink specials are appreciated. The mix of ages from old to young adults was refreshing. The location if central. Needs Improvement: the bed was too firm - the hardest we had in all of Portugal. The room could also use some towel bars to hang towels to dry after showering. The street noise late at night/early in the morning hours (people yelling and singing) woke us up.

  Very Poor Experience and Unfair Charge

  I would like to share our experience during our stay at your hostel, as unfortunately it was very disappointing.First of all, we were asked to pay for a bed that was already broken before we used it. We believe this is unfair, as the damage was clearly not caused by us. When we tried to explain the situation, the staff treated us in a very unfriendly and disrespectful way, which made the experience even worse.Additionally, the showers on the fifth floor were not working properly, which caused a lot of inconvenience. The general cleanliness of the facilities was also far below what we expected, and there was a noticeable lack of privacy in the rooms and common areas.Overall, the situation made us feel very uncomfortable and disappointed with our stay. We hope you take this feedback seriously and improve these issues for future guests.

  Everything about Nice Way Porto was great: perfect location for walking/River/Gaia/eating/activities. Staff was super professional and personal. Awesome prices. Clean, comfortable beds, rooms, walk-under showers. Full bar and food on site, as well as games, sofas, TV, music, Happy Hour, Welcome drink, just really a happy/fun place. They even lent me a power outlet converter for a couple of days (I left mine in the hotel before them), until I went out and bought a new one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  Very bad service

  Very very bad, one mont before arrival tried to booked room for a group at 4 people, but no room free, then booked In a six person room, when we arrived Nicklas tried to sell pub Cravl and happy hour talking talking, then he said he want to look if our room was ready, time was 1 pm. Next sentence was that it was impossible for us to stay in same room because a big group was coming, I told him I was not satisfied with that, very unprofessional he tried to start a discussion, saying I could look in the website at they sell beds not rooms, I said I was still unsatisfied, he continued try to discuss even I said I didn’t want that, then suddenly he said check in time was 3 pm, now he didn’t even want to look if the room was ready, completely lost ever form for service and politeness.If go 3 or 4 people look at Airbnb then you can have it cheaper and stay together.Happy he’s not employed in my company, he doesn’t know how to handle a difficult situation. Zero start for that experience, and asking for cancel and refund it was not possible.
