Central location hotel with studio rooms too.

    rating24 Mar 2025

Central location with reception on pedestrian rue Flores. Studio rooms are large with basic kitchen and sun terrace (late morning sun). Very helpful staff offering places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Booked through EJ holidays

Perfectly located sanctuary in Porto, with excellent service, but no pool.

    rating12 Sept 2024

Perfectly located in the centre of Porto, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Once through the doors you enter a sanctuary of calm, away from other tourists and the hubbub of Porto. On arrival, all hotel amenities were well explained in perfect English and a very useful map with many recommendations marked on it was provided before being shown to our room. Aircon was good, the small kitchen had everything you’d need if you were looking to self cater, and most importantly a nespresso coffee machine. The bed was comfortable, and the room quiet and dark, so we slept very well here after traipsing up and down Porto’s hills all day. It’s not cheap, but not overly expensive, so pretty fairly priced for what you get. We don’t use the gym or spa facilities but my only “complaint” is that there are several photos of a pool in various places online where you can book this hotel, but it doesn’t seem to be in operation any more.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Sofa bed damp and very uncomfortable.Kitchen and bathroom extremely out of date.Paint work shabby and needs sorting.Curtain on front door filthy.Only good thing is the location and the reception staff. Not a good deal for the money spent.

    Big studio suite

We stayed 4 nights at the Oca Vitoria in Porto. If you are booking, the Oca Vitoria and the Oca Flores are two sides of the same hotel complex with the check in desk on the Flores side. If you get dropped off at the Vitoria entrance you will encounter a large mostly empty room. There is a phone with no instructions that will help you contact the front desk. The room we were assigned was well equipped and very spacious with a full kitchen. We thought it was worth the premium price we paid. We had only two issues, it was advertised as a studio with a view of the cathedral but there was no view, and the beds were very hard.We booked the breakfast buffet which involved seating in a beautiful high-ceilinged room. The breakfast had variety but no changes day to day. The food in the covered 'heated' containers was cold on 2 of 3 days. Great coffee and fresh fruit.Desk staff were helpful, friendly, and fluent in English. This is a lovely property in a great location and could be a 5 with some attention to detail and better beds.

    Our favourite family hotel

    rating22 Aug 2018

A classy hotel hidden from view in the centre of Porto. We booked a well-appointed apartment and took full advantage of the location. Swimming pool not massive but not a surprise given the hotel's compact style. Our (then) young family enjoyed the ample and varied breakfasts, top marks from the boys!
