Good stop for Porto, reception lady very helpful. Campsite a bit shabby . Facilities definitely need refurbishment ,but close to Porto, so very convenient

Cramped dusty unshaded pitches- think refugee resettlement camp- with washroom facilities which have had no investment for decades: cracked tiles, grubby grouting and rickety duck boards in the showers. The cleaning staff do their best to keep it clean but the underlying shabbiness can't be washed away, however hard they scrub. Orbitur are charging premium prices and doubtless laughing all the way to the bank. What they have is a great location and a lot of passing trade and, boy, do they exploit it to the max.You really wouldn't want to spend 10 minutes sitting around the site but if all you want is a location near the sea with a pleasant 30 minute bike ride (mostly on cycle paths) into the centre of Porto then it'll do. Good option for joining beach and city visits

The camping site Orbitur Canidelo is located in Vila Nova de Gaia. It is relatively distant from Porto, but offers the advantage of being by the seaside. It is not very spacious and tends to be a bit cramped. The reception was professional. The sanitary facilities were very clean. There is a restaurant, a swimming pool and a small shop. This is a good option for those who want to join leisure at the beach with city visits. It is however not advisable, if you want to concentrate only on the city discovery... Great location and facilities are a little tired but still ok, pool great, restaurant friendly with great prices. Local area is fantastic for walking & cycling plus you can get to Porto cheap using UBER. We will return as it’s just a great site & atmosphere in this area. Never again! Not as good as it used to be

The camping is okay. Not very good facilities. The pool is closed till may and the showers are cold. The cafetaria was closed without a warning and when I went to the manager so laughed in my face about my complaint. She was disrespectful and rude. She did not apologize and didn’t do anything to make a good conversation. Never in my life I was treated this rude by a manager. Orbitur canidelo, never again.
