  Fabulous place to stay

  Wonderful property in a great location for visiting Porto. It had a lovely garden with seating in which we sat in as the weather was beautiful. We met Bruno on arrival who was super friendly and very very helpful. He gave us some great recommendations for wine bars and restaurants which were all quite non touristy which we love. Plus they were very reasonable priced. Our room had a fridge but unfortunately it wasn’t very cold. The bed was super comfy and the room was really big with a small outdoor space with a table and chairs where we had our breakfasts. There is a supermarket literally 5 mins away which is very handy. Loved our stay here plus loved Porto

  A lovely little place

  If I could rate this a 4.5, I would. This is a lovely little place to stay in a great location in Porto. They were very hospitable and check in was very simple. We were worried about privacy with it having some “shared” spaces, but everything felt secure and private. Breakfast was always out when we woke up and was very delicious. The room and bathroom were very spacious with a nice, modern, clean tub and shower. The good: - Great location - Good and fresh breakfast - Very hospitable - Timely to respond to requests - Lots of Space - Lots of privacy The only criticisms I have are small and I do not consider them “dealbreakers”, but they are worth nothing. - The lack of AC (although common) was a slight disappointment given the price range. - The tub was great, but the water is either blistering hot or freezing cold, there is not any sort of temperature adjustability. - Breakfast is slightly overpriced

  We had a wonderful stay! The studio was super clean and it had everything we needed, and the palace in itself is beautiful and very well kept. The guy who welcomed us (sorry I don't remember his name) was extremely sweet and kind with us, and gave us terrific advice on places to visit and where to eat. We truly had a great stay because of him as well, since we followed all of his advice. He was always there to help us, and did it with a smile. Thank you so much! The palace is very well situated, the metro is very near and the city centre is just a few minutes away by walk.

  We loved the Charm palace. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Check in was smooth and welcoming. Breakfast is lovely - fresh and more than enough to start the day. The lady at breakfast service was so friendly every morning - so lovely! Charm Palace really helped us out when our next reservation in Douro valley was cancelled unexpectedly and we were left without anywhere - they accommodated us for 2 more nights over the busiest Sao Joao festival period. We were actually delighted as we got to stay in two suites in this beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are thoughtfully finished and very comfortable. There is also access to a lovely garden. And to top it all, it’s literally a few mins walk from the Balhão market which we adored. We would definitely stay here again, easy to get to everywhere and a delight to return to after a day of exploring Porto!

  What a lovely surprise behind the huge front door, a very comfortable and stylish mini apartment!It would have been great to stay a few more days, and take advantage of the beautiful and peaceful garden.
