    We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2026 as a part of a tour. We were in room 005, which had a nice view of the river and bridge. It has a king bed with a firm mattress, that was comfortable, and 2 pillows on each side that were too thick for me. There was limited counter space in the bathroom. There was a high step into the tub to shower with no grab bar. The bathroom has a toilet and a bidet. There is a door stop between the 2 (so the door does not slam into them, and I stepped on it a few times. I The carpet looks old and has some stains. The rooms are quiet. The common rooms in the main building are beautiful. Breakfast is good as there is a buffet plus several menu options. The property is a long walk (2.5 miles) along the river from Porto city center. There is a gym and an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. This is a nice property if you want to stay away from the crowds in Porto.

    What a wonderful stay. This hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location. You can feel the history of the building as soon you walk in.     Spent 5 nights here and wnjoyed everyone of them. The staff are really accomodating and friendly and always happy to help. Rooms were spotless well maintained and peaceful. All common areas well maintaned and the old palace portion is a lovely seeting. Breakfast is really good also. Used as a base as parking is free to travel for day trips outside of Porto.
