Location

This elegant hotel lies just across the road from the beach in the tourist resort of Caminha. Many shops, boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants and lively nighttime venues are to be found in the near vicinity.

    The entrance to the hotel is in need of updating. On approaching is looks very run down. The carpets in the corridors need to be replaced. The rooms were clean but again dated and the pool area needs to be refurbished.

    A welcome stay in the Camino

    This was a welcome stay at the end of our walk o. The Camino. Had a lovely massage and used the sauna and baths. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant with a good wine. Friendly wait staff. Breakfast was good. Beds lovely and comfortable. Front desk staff were ok but a little brisk on a couple of occasions and tardy on check out. All in all a lovely experience

    Hotel was clean, views were great. Nice respite as we walked the Portuguese coastal route - pool area is great! Relaxing and great lounge chairs to sit in - was a great break on our camino walk! My daughter and I loved this hotel. Big surprise here - NOT TO BE MISSED - the hotel restaurant was amazing. The chef, Santiago and his staff take such pride in their food and service. It felt like a Michelin restaurant star experience. The chef makes his own Gravlax and even the tomatoes on the salads were marinated and everything was so fresh! This was such a nice surprise. Do not miss the restaurant and the view across the bay to Spain was lovely. Well done Santiago and team - we are still talking about this lovey meal! Thank you

    Spent a fabulous week here. The staff were amazing, friendly, couldn’t do enough for us and spoke good English. The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable and smelt delicious every time we walked into reception. The room was kept beautifully clean by housekeeping. The pool and pool area was great, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The spa was also lovely to use and spa treatments were amazing!Views from our room and from the dining room were stunning!Very reasonably priced for food and drinks and spa treatments. We ate in the restaurant on several occasions (as Caminha itself didn’t have many restaurants) and the food was great! Lots to choose from and good quality for a hotel (have found hotel food in the past can be naff, but this wasn’t the case here)!Would highly recommend!

    Do not stay here. Deceptive charges. Tried to charge me for 2 reservations on the same date. Refused to admit their mistake. Very unprofessional. Would never stay here again.Also the spa is in the basement and not pleasant. The water was barely warm.
