Location

This hotel is located in the heart of the shopping and commercial centre of Porto. Only 15 km away from Francisco Sá Carneiro airport and a good connection to the A1 motorway makes travelling around the area even easier. Worth-seeing attractions include a walk to Casa da Música (500 m) or the Modern Art Museum (1 km). Links to the public transport system, as well as a diversity of shops and entertainment venues are only a stone's throw from the hotel (50 m). The famous port wine cellars are only 5 km from the hotel.

Facility

18 suites and 192 double rooms are located on 19 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the city from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are on hand in the bathrooms for everyday use. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can balance exercise with relaxation in the outdoor pool or in one of the 2 indoor pools. The freshwater pool area, part of which is heated, also includes children's pools. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. A hot tub can soothe sore muscles (for a fee). For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers tennis. The hotel offers a range of indoor sporting activities, for example a gym, squash, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam and hydrotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities (for a fee).

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. The menu also offers diet meals and children's meals. The hotel also offers special catering options. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Luxurious facade let down by grubby rooms

    It’s a mixed bag this place. There are quite a few contradictions. It presents as luxury but is badly let down by grubby bathrooms and a very tired mattress that has seen better days! The rooftop bar and spa are lovely though and the staff are first class. Could easily be so much better if they spent some money on upgrading the bathrooms and beds.     We stayed here for 2 nights and highly recommend. Extremely friendly staff right from arrival all the way to check out. Great breakfast spread and friendly staff at the restaurant. Room was spacious for two, didn’t use the rooftop restaurant but enjoyed the view briefly.     We stayed in a deluxe room which for only a slight extra cost provided us with a huge room that overlooked the city.The staff were friendly at all parts of our stay.The breakfast buffet had a good selection of foods which were tasty, one morning we ordered breakfast to the room and it came exactly when we’d asked for.The hotel is just up the road from a supermarket which is useful, only slight negative about the hotel is its distance from the city centre. A cheap Uber solves this issue though.We stayed in Porto while the São João festival took place, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience and would strongly advise anyone who visits Porto to go at this time of year.
