    Good hotel near Amarante

    This hotel is a great retreat! The staff is very nice and attentive. The location is good and you can enjoy the quietness (the nearest city is 15 minutes away). The areas with grass and flowers are well-kept and they provide a lovely environment. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, with a bar. It also has an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi! The massage we had was great and we recommend. The room was big and had a balcony (the only thing we missed was a coffee machine). The breakfast is great. It has variety and the products are fresh. The part of the hotel where it's served is rather elegant (an old mansion). We had a great burger in the evening, at the bar! Overall, we recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy a quiet retreat in the north of Portugal (with fair prices at both bars).

    Staying overnight in Vila Méa.

    For our second overnight stay on our trip in the north, we chose the “Quinta da Cruz” in Vila Méa.There was ample parking space at the Quinta, the staff was moderately friendly.The room was big and clean, and we also had a snack in the hotel.There is a nice garden available, swimming pool and the is located in a quiet area.The negative points, especially for a hotel that has 4 stars, we can mention the following:1 – We couldn't use the terrace at the room, because we couldn't open the door!2 - The TV was Small and had few channels, and only the Portuguese channels had some quality, but the other channels didn't have the slightest picture quality.3 - The bed is in need of replacement as the upholstery was peeling at the head end and also at the bottom!4 - As for the bathroom, the hairdryer was broken, and the socket of the same cannot be used for a normal appliance, so you had to go in the room for a usable socket!5- The shower is big, but incontinent, after taking a shower practically half the bathroom is flooded!The room window was completely wet when we got up in the morning, and since we couldn't open the door to the terrace, we couldn't ventilate the room either!When checking out, we reported this anomaly to the staff, who showed no interest at all and did not reply.These are not conditions at all for a 4 stars hotel.

    This is an old house remodelled, the space have a lot of natural light, and white walls, comfort beds and a very nice breakfast, it is near the city os Amarante, wish is very romantic and cosy. I enjoyed the stay in this hotel both times I went there.

    Beautifully renovated Solar with exuberant gardens and a great SPA. Very comfortable and clean rooms with well maintained bathrooms connected through a mirror wall. The breakfast is very well served and the staff makes you feel at home.

    Excellent spa hotel - ideal for rest and relaxation

    We choose this hotel to end our trip around Northern Portugal for some rest and relaxation and were not disappointed. The rooms and bathrooms are large, clean, modern and warm. The indoor pool and spa facilities are also good. The breakfast they have to offer is second to none with something for everybody.
