  Cozy, warm and peaceful

  A perfect place for a rest cure. Jorge manages to create such a family-like atmosphere, that guests feel like at home and don't want to leave. He's very laid back and it shows in the place. Rooms are spacious, and cool even in summer. The Quinta itself is beautiful, the swimming pool is large enough for not just taking a bath, but even for swimming.The only downers are the wi-fi, sort of week or non-existen in some rooms and corners, and the breakfast, which is just enough but no frills.Though they don't have an in-site restaurant, you can order food for groups in advance, and in any case there are two restaurants 200 m away, plus lots of them in nearby Barcelos.A place for coming back every year.

  Lovely place with potentials but poor management - at least they are flexible in early departure

  This place is stunning from the beginning but can't keep its first impression: the whole house is dark and guest rooms are in the ground floor and (annex). These rooms are quite simple, old fashioned with not much accessories which could give some rustic atmoshere. Bathroom was clean but small without windows. Bed was comfortable.You sleep could be disturbed by a peakcock crying and the dog farm which is located on the quinta grounds. Gardens are nice but not well kept (owners are very old)Breakfast fast Portuguese Quinta/Casa (TH/TR) Standard, orange juice a bit thin (mixed with water)Pool was closed due to maintainance even they confirmed by email different. The later made us to ask early checkin after 1 night what they accepted.I think for the rate of 65€ you could expect more (at least we have seen much nices Quintas who charged even less) - 50-55 is adequate for what they offer.With a little bit efforts this place could be a real gem but right now I woudn't recommend this place for a longer than 1 night stay if you are in the area.Free Wifi only in the breakfastroom, not in the rooms

  We stayed for three nights at this charming Quinta. It is a good base for exploring the nearby towns and not far from the coast. The breakfast was adequate with fruit from the estate.the room was traditionally Portuguese with a lovely bathroom. The extensive garden were beautiful including a large pool .We enjoyed our stay very much.

  It is a very pleasant farm estate that also caters weddings. As per photographs, the walls are of classic stone construction, with heavy wooden beams. Very clean, nice simple breakfast. The older couple who run the B&B are very pleasant. They speak only little bit of English, but we were able to understand each other. Even though we did not stay long enough to enjoy all the amenities, I gather that there are many things to do, so do contact them about this. A nice place to explore Braga, Guimaraes and Porto from because of the density of major highways in the area. We booked through portugalsolares, great prices and great service over the phone, although internet reservations take a while to be confirmed (2+ days) and don't have all the options available. I recommend you call them rather than using the internet reservation system.
