Location

The guesthouse is only a short drive away from important centres and towns, but is nestled in surroundings of rural, natural beauty, allowing for a truly unique holiday experience. Access to public transport is around 1 km away and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is some 15 km away.

Facility

The holiday apartments were built in 1755. Guests have a choice of 7 non-smoking rooms located in two 2-storey buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     We were jumping from the Coastal Route to the Central Route, and this hotel was conveniently located for us.The hotel gives off historic home vibes, though it has been updated. Our room was spacious, and comfortable. No A/C, but we didn’t need any.The hotel offered dinner, with advance reservation. And the dinner was good, and so was the included breakfast buffet.The pool and landscaping were nice, the wifi was strong, and the price was reasonable.Glad we spent the night here!

    Antonio and his staff were very friendly and warm and made me feel like family.I experienced a medical episode unexpectedly the evening I arrived and was very anxious. They fed me dinner and then Antonio, the owner whisked me to a local pharmacy for medication.The surroundings are beautiful and the buildings, Antonio told me, were once a dairy that he operated. Just wonderful.

    Beautiful Setting on the Camino

    The grounds of this establishment set the mood for an enjoyable evening after our second day on the Camino. We had an oversized room - sofa, kitchenette, and large bath with soaking tub. Enjoyed wine on the terrace prior to dinner, which was well plated. The dining room, however, was a bit awkward for the morning breakfast buffet, but that may have been due to the number of guests ready to tackle the trail.

    Perfect waypoint to rejuvenate

    This was an oasis at the end of the first day of our Camino walk. It had been a hot day and we had walked 17.83km. The staff were welcoming and had us settled into our room within minutes. I should say rooms. We had two bedrooms, a bathroom, hallway and a large balcony. The rooms were cool, all the amenities clean and the beer cold. There was a pool to relax aching muscles. The evening meal was delicious, and the breakfast perfect for another day of walking.

    We stayed one night at the quinta Sao Miguel de Arcos during our camino portugues in october.Friendly staff and a beautiful and historic setting right on the camino.Dinner and breakfast were delicious.The owner told us a lot of the history of the quinta and also about the way of life in earlier days. This was very interesting.
