  Great Location and Friendly Service, Comfortable Stay

  At the end of February, we went on a short trip to Portugal. We spent three wonderful days in Porto and stayed for two nights at the Spot Family Suites Hotel, which is located right in the city center. The location was really great – it took us only about a 5-minute walk to reach the main attractions and the heart of the city.During check-in, a very kind gentleman at the reception gave us a brief but very clear and helpful introduction. He told us about the most important places to see in Porto and marked everything on a map, which was really useful and thoughtful.Our room was on the top (fifth) floor and adjacent to the restaurant where breakfast was served. We initially thought it might be noisy, but thankfully it didn’t affect our comfort. The room was spacious and well arranged – it had a living area, a bedroom for the parents, and an additional bedroom (partially open to the living area) for the children. The beds and mattresses were very comfortable, which definitely improved the quality of our stay.The only downside was the bathroom – it was small and a bit worn out, in need of some refurbishment. Also, the water in the bathtub/shower didn’t drain very well, which was a bit inconvenient.Regarding the restaurant, the breakfasts were okay but nothing special. There was a lack of variety in vegetables and fruits, and the scrambled eggs tasted somewhat “powdery.”The biggest plus goes to the hotel staff – the reception team was very friendly, smiling, and willing to help, which made our stay even more pleasant.In summary, Spot Family Suites Hotel is a good choice for a short stay in Porto, especially due to its location and friendly service. A few small aspects could be improved, but overall we were happy with our choice.

  Fantastic for family trip

  We thought Hotel Spot Family Suites were fantastic. We stayed in a Superior Master Suite which had two bedrooms, which we asked to be set up as a double and a twin room. You also get a lovely large lounge/kitchen area, which could also sleep 2 extra people on the sofa bed. This was a perfect set up for our family of 4. Shower room was spacious and the whole place was immaculate and kept very clean. House keeping did an excellent job each day as well. It's also in a great area, right in the hustle and bustle but also tucked away off the main road so quiet at night. So convenient for Bolhao Market, less than 5 minutes away to get loads of lovely food and drink. Chapel of Souls and Cafe Majestic/Rue da Santa Caterina within very easy walking distance as well. Sooo many cafes/bars/restaurants locally as well, you're spoilt for choice. If you like steak and fish, we would recommend Vaccarum literally 4 mins from the front door. Reception even organised a transfer from the airport to the hotel on our arrival, but you can easily get the Metro to and from Aeroporto and Trindade train station as well for 2.25 euros for a single! Can't recommend this hotel (and Porto) enough. Thank you!

  The staff was amazing. Everyone from the front desk, to house keeping and the breakfast staff. Friendly and so helpful. So clean. I was expecting a very small room. It was more than enough space. We stayed on the 7th floor and the balcony was huge! The only downside there wasn’t any shade. It was pretty warm out there during the day. Location location locations. Perfect spot. Close to everything. The air conditioning was super. We actually got it too cold and had to turn it up. Breakfast buffet had a great selection. Would absolutely stay here again!

  Comfortable stay in a good location in Porto

  Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of May & found this hotel to be very good.It's in a relatively central location in Porto for exploring which suited our needs.The room itself was spacious, with a very large comfortable bed & good sized bathroom. Excellent air conditioning too which was needed during our stay.Breakfast options were nice and varied as well. We enjoyed having a balcony, which looked on to the back of the building, and which we used every evening.Would recommend this hotel as a good base for exploring Porto.

  We’d stay ere again!

  A memorable stay with a nice room, great staff, lovely breakfast buffet, and good location our room had a queen and two twin beds with a divider curtain to give us a bit of visual privacy which was nice. no real place to sit but given that we were out of our room most of the time, it was just fine. There’s a fridge too lovely breakfast area with a nice variety of food that we didn’t get tired of during our three day stay……even had morning pastel de nadas! The staff there were very nice….have a few euros to leave a tip for their nice and non intrusive servicea laundromat is close by….use the small washers…it was nine euros for the large! There’s also a little grocery a few doors down so you can grab water and snacks nice street view from our room and if no one is using the glass enclose area for smoking (everywhere it seems people smoke/vape) you’ll find a great view during breakfast which we did 2/3 mornings
