    I recently spent two days at the Torre de Gomariz Wine and Spa Hotel for a relaxation getaway. It was a wonderful experience! The hotel is surrounded by grapevines, olive trees and beautiful trees and flowers. There are tables, benches, and chairs readily available on the patios and grounds to take in the beautiful view and singing birds. I highly recommend The Best of Camellia spa treatment, which included a body exfoliation, relaxation massage, and facial. The spa also included a sauna and steam room, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. I had lunch at the Wine Bar and dinner at Restaurante Gomariz and both meals and wine were excellent. All the staff at the hotel were so kind and very service oriented. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend. I plan on returning in July with my sisters.

    Beautiful grounds with an industrial style on the outside. Registration is at an old tower attached to the hotel rooms. Vineyard behind us. Inside the rooms are very spacious and the large windows provide beautiful views of the vineyard. We had breakfast and lunch there and each was wonderful. There is a pool on the grounds also. Bed was comfortable and each room also had a very nice balcony.

    A little slice of heaven nestled in a charming northern Portugal parish

    We first stayed at Torre de Gomariz in September of 2024 and fell in love with the hospitality, comfort, and tranquility. We left to visit Nazaré but missed Torre de Gomariz so we drove back north for a few more days! The rooms are lovely with the most comfy beds and pillows, and luxurious baths. Wine and chocolate were delivered to our room. We returned this May after a stressful trip in northern Spain and it felt like coming home. Staff remembered the wine we liked and delivered a bottle to our room upon arrival! The breakfasts and dinners are amazing. The saltwater pool overlooking the vineyard is my favorite relaxation spot in Portugal. This hotel offers the best of northern Portugal’s hospitality, food, and wine. Braga, Barcelos, Esposende beach and Ponte de Lima are just a short drive away. But make sure you spend a day or two or three just relaxing!

    Outstanding 5-star hotel in a historic building surrounded by vineyards. The hotel offers all the amenities that guests expect in this category. The spa area includes a heated indoor pool, sauna and steam bath. An additional room with fitness equipment would be desirable, but is not available.In the hotel restaurant, we enjoyed a menu that would have earned a Michelin star. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and good, but should offer a little more for a 5-star hotel. In addition to the main restaurant, there is a second restaurant which is open throughout the day and offers smaller dishes. The rooms are scrupulously clean and luxuriously furnished. Just a note, not a criticism: the guest houses in which the rooms are located are about 250 meters from the central building. So you have to take a walk outside on stairs to get to breakfast. This didn't bother us, we are fit and had an umbrella. However, it could be a problem for guests with disabilities.

    I absolutely Loved this Spa Hotel! It was nice and quiet. The grounds were beautiful. They have bikes available for you. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff was exceptional. I witnessed a very arrogant, demanding family and the staff handled them professionally and with as much patience as humanly possible. They were complaining about not having a newspaper every morning and an elevator?? American Arrogance! I'd put money on it they were East Coast lol I apologized on behalf of America lol I guess they missed the part is used to be a Tower which is still standing. And my favorite was the Chapel on the grounds. The food unfortunately wasn't the greatest and there is no real options in that area so we end up going to Braga for food allot. Other than that it's a must stay!
