Location

The hotel is located a couple of minutes from restaurants and 3 min away from the swimming pools, beaches, congress centre, sports centre and the Pavilion Hall of the city. Guests will find public transport links 5 min away and the hotel is located a 5-minute drive from bars and from the tourist centre of Póvoa de Varzim. It lies 25 min from the centre of Porto, about 30 min from the major cities in the north and only 15 min from Porto Airport.

Facility

The hotel has 30 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Outside of town, fine but not great

    Note to solo peragrinas - I would not stay here again. It was outside of town without many restaurants around, and I didn’t feel safe walking back after dinner. Aside from that, the hotel was clean and the bed comfortable. The room was a bit tired, my chair was stained. Apparently they have remodeled rooms but you need to stay 2+ nights to qualify. It's important to explain that we are 1km from Santiago Way, however we are always receiving pilgrims every day, mostly solo travelers. It's the first time that someone says that doesn't felt enough safe. We respect that but in 25 years, we never had any kind of problems. However, let see if we can improve that feeling and provide anything more for new solo pilgrims. Until them, we wish you a great day! We wish you the best! A warm thank you from Portugal!

    Great stay at Varzinn hotel. We visited mid way through walking the camino, great room, lovely breakfast and great staff, all made for a lovely experience. Antonio was especially kind and thoughtful, he really made our time special ...thank you.     Great hotel in Povoa de Verzim

    Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Povoa de Varzim 30 minute walk from the centre of town. Comfortable room and well equipped with good size bathroom. Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold foods and free flowing coffee. Lovely garden viewed from outside veranda.     Stayed here for one night while walking the Camino from Porto. Situated about 10 minutes walk from the beach in a very quiet area. The hotel is absolutely spotless throughout. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were especially friendly. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.     We had booked one night into the “Sol Povoa & Varzinn Hotel” for our visit of the city of Povoa de Varzim.The hotel is located very well and close to the beach, it has a private carpark for free. The staff on the reception is super friendly and very helpfull when you are asking something.We had our room “309” on the 3th floor, we can confirm that the rooms are very good on the point of insonoration, you do not hear any noice, the room had a balcony enough for two persons, and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfy so we had a good sleep during the night. And the TV was incorporated into the great “Wall Mirror”, so you do not see a normal flatscreen tv in the room, amazin! For the eating in the evening, at walking distance (200 meters) from the hotel you have several restaurants!You can have the breakfast from 07h15, who is served following the “Covid19” rules, anyhow it was fine and also the person resposnsable for the breakfast service was very simpatic and helpfull, so we could enjoy a good breakfast.
