This hotel lies in a quiet area in Porto, right on the beach.

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     My first experience at a 5* hotel and I must say a new experience The rooms and spa was exceptional the only thing that let it down one star was the service at breakfast food was amazing even though I am not a big breakfast man eggs cooked to perfection meat fruit etc great biggest let down was the service maybe the way it should be but had better service with less stars Constantly had to ask for coffee cooked eggs and top up To those that like oysters champagne and everything refined maybe your cup of earl grey but as a hard working business owner felt second class

    Very dissapointing experience at Flor de Lis Restaurant

    I had previously stayed at this hotel and decided to enjoy the restaurant with my family and my father during a special trip.Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. My children were served their meat course first and had already completely finished eating while, after almost two hours, we still had not received our main courses.After asking several times, my carpaccio, my husband’s risotto and my father’s dish finally arrived, but my father’s plate was cold.It was honestly quite upsetting to experience this in such a unique place, especially after repeatedly asking about the delay. In the end, we simply accepted the situation and decided to go elsewhere for coffee.I only wish my father, who is already elderly, could have enjoyed a much better experience.

    Great location for us as we like to walk, it’s 90 minutes into town and 30 minutes to Matosinhos, but if you’re can’t walk that far there’s an excellent bus service running right outside the hotel both ways catch the 500 service. Both ways are scenic and on the sea front.The hotel is an old villa and most of the rooms are in a modern block within the grounds, it’s best to get a room with a sea view. Rooms spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The cleaning staff were excellent and polite.Although we didn’t dine in the restaurant at night, we had breakfast every day, the choice was excellent and varied with a buffet and a great egg menu cooked to order.The hotel supplied us with pedal cycles and it really is an ideal location for cycling up the coast Matosinhos.We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine left in the room. Whilst there we celebrated a birthday and were surprised to receive a knock on our door to find room service delivering a complimentary bottle of fizz and cakeWe would like to thank the hotel and all their staff for making our visit feel very special

    Although the hotel is lovely and our room was very clean, the staff was extremely rude. I suspect that if you do not arrive in a Jaguar, Rolls Royce, and the like you are not treated well. The staff, particularly the wait staff in the downstairs restaurant was very rude.Breakfast was nice, lots of choices. However, the female waiter was not pleasant. When we arrived for breakfast the guy at the door said we could anywhere we wanted so we chose the patio. When we got there the female waiter told us "you will sit here" and pointed to an awkward table when there were many more available tables. Then she would not give us a minute to review the menu but insisted that we put in our order immediately; I really only wanted the buffet but she insisted that we had to have something off the menu.We tried to reserve a table at the downstairs restaurant for an early dinner, but were told that was impossible. Amazingly there were many tables open when we arrived without a reservation. That said, the food was very good.Our room was in the new building and was very nice, very clean and comfortable with a little sitting area on the patio. Fortunately, it did face the sea but we were on the bottom floor of rooms so trees blocked out view of the sea. Not the hotel's fault but beware when reserving a room.I have to add a good comment--the valets, porters, and busboys were extremely nice.

    We checked out of the Vila Foz Hotel today. An incredible hotel, close to beach, lovely restaurant, beautiful rooms with such incredible views, so relaxing. What made the stay so pleasure was not just that, but the people. The staff in particular were so friendly and kind and the customers likewise. I already miss the hotel. Thank you so much for such warm memories of my first trip to Porto and thank you to the staff for recommendations of where to visit.
