    - The location is Exceptional-Good Value- We had a Riverview room with a balcony & the view was just spectacular.-The only reason i give them a 4 is because of the location & the view bumps up the overall experience by many notches. They don't have a bell boy & you have to carry your own luggage. The breakfast was also mediocre, didn't like the coffee that was too watered down & served from a thermos.     Fantastic service from Liliana and Joao!

    I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of a group tour. The room and location were nice, dinner delicious, breakfast tasty (especially madeleine cookies). I very much appreciated fantastic service: Liliana took great care of us during dinner and Joao was amazing during a very busy breakfast time! Thank you both very much!

    I had a wonderful stay at Vila Galé Douro in the Douro Valley.The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Régua center and train station.The room was large and comfortable with a balcony with beautiful views over the river and the city.The outdoor jacuzzi was perfect for the sunset after a day of trails nearby.The breakfast offered a wide variety and great quality, and the à la carte dinner service had variety as well.An highlight to the staff that were consistently friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience.

    Fantastic place to stay. Spacious clean and well appointed rooms. Great view of the valley and bridges. Very good restaurant, breakfast is satisfying. Dinner was exceptional as the chef personally prepared vegetarian meals each night since the menu does not offer a vegetarian option. Later the chef took the time to meet with us and asked how we enjoyed dinner.Pool, hot tub and Turkish bath are very clean and enjoyable.Front desk and bar personnel were friendly and accommodating.Good parking (even road side).

    ​This hotel offers a great experience with a few key highlights. The stunning views from the rooms are a major plus, as is the warmed indoor pool that shares the same scenic outlook.
