We needed a place to stay in San Juan ahead of an early flight home from vacation. This was the cheapest option (though not cheap given the quality of the hotel). The pool and hot tub looked amazing. The rest of the place was very run down. Room was pretty clean, but floors were not great. The shower head was ancient and the water came out in such a way that it was hard to shower. A/C worked, but our damp bathing suits didn't dry overnight. Bed was comfortable. Chair in the room had stains on it. Checkin/out was easy. Trip to the airport via Lyft was cheap. It did the job for the one night where we were only sleeping a few hours, but I wouldn't stay here for an entire vacation.

I was looking for an economic place by the beach with a kitchenette for just a few days. Kitchen area lacked the basic utensils, pots and pans. The dish sponge was nasty. The bed was a comfortable queen size but the sofa bed had seen better days. The fridge was too small. WiFi was spotty and my hot shower turned lukewarm in the middle. Housekeeping comes everyday but there was no tag to put outside the door to let them know not to knock. I had scary moment. Since is close to the airport it was noisy. I have stayed in Isla Verde before but this place is the noisiest I have been. Parking is complicated (you’ll find a spot but it might not be the most convenient) Despite doors with safety locks and good lighting, I would not recommend the “suites” for solo or female travelers. Stay in the main building instead. The location is great given is walking distance from the beach and there are plenty of places to eat or rent a car. For just a little extra you can stay at a nicer place. If you have a very tight budget stay but not for more than 1 or 2 nights. After the second night, you will regret not paying extra.

Staff was very friendly & helpful but the hotel is pretty bad. Old, rundown, lack of maintenance. Probably needed a major remodel 20 years ago. I paid $110 for a room, only worth like $39 at best. Old, rusty non-working mini fridge in room. Noisy right next to the elevator & washers & dryers. Overall very disappointing. Won't stay there again.

The room was infected with roaches. It was so bad that we could not sleep and decided to leave the hotel before 3:00 am. To find that the elevator was out of service for the second time in one day. Suggested to hotel attendance to get job as pets control an his statement was I wish they pay me for that.
