    Worst Ponce Hotel, definitely! Stay away.

    Do not even dare to go to this hotel! No elevator, no hot water, no restaurants, no bar, no room service... This place should be closed down for a complete remodeling. The rest rooms are dated and in desperate need of remodeling. Internet service is not available and, at best, intermittent. There is no one available at the front desk to meet you; you have to call for assistance. The rooms do not have a desk to work on. And no one available to assist you with your luggage. They are obviously operating this facility with a skeleton crew. A total waste of money! Try some other alternatives in Ponce. Trust me!

    The location is excellent. The rooms were nice and clean, The window A/C was noisy. Our major complaint were the stairs. The elevator was out of service. We are a couple 77 and 79 years old and they gave us a room on the third floor. It was very difficult going up and down the stairs. Certainly not a handycap friendly hotel. Also there were no restaurant on the premises.

    The hotel website is quite misleading. Its marketing emphasizes the hotel's history, but it omits that it is an old, rundown property in poor condition. The rooms lack microwaves and small tables; the water was consistently cold, and the bathtub required extensive repairs. I struggled to sleep due to loud noise outside, reminiscent of a scene from the movie 'Big,' with sounds that resembled gunfire, which was quite stressful. Additionally, the hotel offered inadequate accessibility for my elderly family members with disabilities. The elevator was misaligned with the floors, making it hard for my wheelchair-bound uncle to use, and when it arrived, it shook like an earthquake. I cannot recommend this hotel to others. However, the staff was friendly.

    Hotel was old style charming, staff helpful and engaging, great location. It would have been even better if there had been HOT WATER for showers the two days I was there. There was not...

    The website is indirectly misleading. It talks about being first to get bathrooms, phone, etc. but it is currently not up to minimal expectations at all. The water for showers was never more than luke warm. Tub drainage is slow. Some electrical outlets didn’t work. Rooms very small. Took a long time to clean up water in the entry way, which was a safety hazard. Elevator is very slow. Pictures on the website show food and drink but there is no restaurant, not even coffee. There are other small issues I won’t include. Really, it’s great to advertise the historical nature of the building and the great location across from the plaza. But it needs major improvements to be a quality and up to date hotel.
