Location

The resort lies on the Atlantic Ocean with a spectacular mountain landscape as a backdrop. The hotel sprawls across 200-ha on Puerto Rico's northeast coast and includes a palm-lined 1.6 km secluded beach adjacent to the Caribbean National Forest, known among the islanders as El Yunque. The hotel is only 30 minutes to the east of San Juan's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, off Puerto Rico Highway 3, north of the Caribbean National Forest and west of Puerto Rico's famous Luquillo Beach.

Facility

400 non-smoking rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Guests may securely store their valuables in a safe. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. The complex offers plenty of activities and entertainment options, including an entertainment programme, live music and a casino.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and picnics are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    All was great except for the elevators. On Friday early morning I went to the elevator on the second floor with my luggage. The elevator would not go to the third floor/check in floor, it would only go up to the fifth floor and then it just opened and closed the doors. I took the chance and selected the second floor where I originally came from. Thankfully the elevator took me to the second floor and opened the door so I immediately got out. I did not want to be stuck in an elevator. Then to get to check out I took my luggage, one was heavy, down the stairs and then up two sets of stairs to get to the check out. I told the check out person about the elevator.     JP our waiter was incredible. Everyone we met was friendly and very helpful too, but JP went above and beyond to make us feel welcome on our honeymoon. Resort was beautiful and we had an excellent time. Very relaxing.Spa was also great. We did a couples massage and it was wonderful and relaxing.     We had an amazing stay here! The rooms are great, amazing beach right at the property, a few different pools, great food options and all the staff were so friendly and attentive.     Great Hotel! But it’s not a resort.

    Location : Best possible location. Couldn’t be better Atmosphere: Very inviting in every way. Beautifully made. Design and Aesthetic top class Rooms: Very Spacious and good AC. Nice Balcony. Value: Not so much. 5 Star hotel . The least that they can provide is proper 24 hour available Hot Coffee Tea and Water. Meaning a full Lu operational hot coffee and tea with real milk choice on every floor. Or at the very least at a couple of spots in the lobby. Rooms have a coffee maker. But First have to arrange water. Then use that powder milk. Who wants to drink coffee with powder milk Secondly even if it’s not an All Inclusive. Since it’s a resort. The menu at the to go cafe should include boiled eggs at the very least and not be so limited. Or they should offer Ala Carte option for Breakfast if someone doesn’t want to do the Buffet. And since it’s a resort, there should be some activity in the lobby for kids and/or adults alternatively. Make the atmosphere more vacation like and inviting instead of selling time share. So that the guests can mingle and feel good. Maybe a movie night. For the kids or some shows or something. Some excursion options should be visible at a desk exclusively for that in the lobby. Over all the hotel lacks the resort feel and it’s advertised as a resort and charges fee every night for the same. A huge shoutout to the best server that ever was. Carlos at the Tiki Bar. Went above and beyond for everything. The other servers and staff were all very nice. Another shout out to our server at the Amaya Restaurant. Very Friendly and helpful.. Another bummer was the construction at the restaurants and they were mostly closed except for one. So no options. Over all a very nice stay ! But not five star. Beach access is awesome. I wish they would get it cleaned frequently. Too much sharp shells and things even though it’s a public beach but just the part that the hotel covers should be cleaned regularly.     Great beach access, the place was clean and the service people "especially at the front desk were exceptional... The front desk staff "ANGEL" had it all covered.
