Location

The property is located just 45 minutes from San Juan on the east coast of the island. The rain forest area is just a 20-minute drive from the hotel. There is a marina in the village, as well as a shopping and dining complex. The beach is less than half a mile from the hotel.

Facility

We were treated to a fantastic experience when we went to Trova for our anniversary celebration! As seniors, we are used to being invisible, but on this occasion the opposite occurred, we were treated like royalty by all staff members, but especially by our head waiter, Saul Santini.Saul explained each dish as this was our first foray into Puerto Rican food. We were amazed at the explosion of flavors and textures we were treated to. Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff! Everything from the moment we walked in to our final bite of dessert was delightful and we will carry memories of this meal for a long time. “Stressful and Uncomfortable Experience at Palmas Resort”

I am submitting this complaint regarding a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at Palmas Resort. My stay was negatively impacted by ongoing maintenance issues that were never properly resolved despite multiple complaints and repeated assurances from staff that the problems had been fixed.From the beginning of the stay, the air conditioning, refrigerator, television, and hot water in the room were not functioning properly. Staff informed us that a technician had visited and resolved the issues; however, when we returned to the room, the air conditioning and refrigerator were still not working correctly, and there continued to be issues with the room overall. Only the television appeared fixed.Throughout the stay, technicians came to the room multiple times, but the air conditioning problem continued. The situation became especially unacceptable during the night when the suite became extremely hot and uncomfortable. At approximately 3:00 a.m., both sides of the suite were still hot despite prior repair attempts. My partner and I were sweating and unable to rest comfortably. In addition to the air conditioning issues, we also experienced lack of hot water, which added even more frustration and inconvenience to the stay.Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent hours dealing with maintenance problems, waiting for technicians, and repeatedly reporting the same unresolved issues. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the resort continued assuring us the problems had been repaired when they clearly had not.Although staff eventually offered to move us to another room, this was done very late in the night after we had already endured significant discomfort and disruption. By that point, the inconvenience had already affected our stay, our ability to sleep, and the overall quality of our trip.I do acknowledge that some employees were polite and apologized for the inconvenience. However, repeated apologies do not correct the fact that the room conditions were unacceptable and the issues remained unresolved for an extended period of time. Guests should not have to repeatedly report the same issues during their stay or spend the night in uncomfortable conditions because proper maintenance was not handled effectively.I feel that the experience did not match the standards that were advertised or expected for a resort stay, especially considering the amount paid for the accommodations. I am requesting that management review this matter seriously and consider appropriate compensation or corrective action for the inconvenience, discomfort, and disruption caused during my stay.I also hope the resort improves its maintenance response procedures and guest accommodations so future guests do not experience similar issues. Great location for a family getaway.

I booked this stay to celebrate my son’s sixth birthday, upon arrival the hotel appearance is impeccable and gives a very island life type of vibe. The front desk staff is very courteous and friendly The coffee at Café 1736 was great and they have really good food options. The staff at the pool bar area were very attentive and provided great service. The pools are great for the little ones. I booked a double queen bedroom, and it was spacious and tidy. I recommend this hotel if you’re looking to have a short family getaway from the city life.
