Location

    Great food and a nice pool couldn't make up for the poor service and disorganized front desk

    This was our second stay here; while the first was perfect, this experience proved that the property is severely losing its 5-star value. We specifically called ahead for an early check-in and were assured that 2:00 PM was fine, yet upon arriving at 2:15 PM, we were made to wait 45 minutes and weren't given a room until right before the standard 3:00 PM time. The property felt neglected—the corridor had a bad odor, the WC needed a thorough cleaning, and all the lights and power cut out shortly after we entered, requiring a maintenance call. Front desk management was completely disorganized, questioning our half-board booking both at check-in and again at check-out.The dining experience only highlighted this lack of professionalism. Dinner at Al Nafourah restaurant was plagued by incredibly poor service; the counter was completely unstaffed, and we had to wait nearly 10 minutes just for someone to notice us before finally tracking down a waiter to get a table. Once seated, it was extremely difficult to get a waiter's attention, the service was severely delayed, and parts of our order went missing entirely. While the food itself was good, the service level was entirely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. To make matters worse, breakfast was downgraded from the spacious Choices restaurant to the much smaller Cellar, creating chaotic crowds and long waits just to get a seat. Standards have dropped significantly, and the lack of basic coordination across the board was highly disappointing.
