Location

This attractive, historical hotel is situated in the heart of Bucharest. Public transport can be reached within a short 200 m walk. “Henri Coanda” airport lies some 20 km from the hotel building, and can be reached in 25 minutes by car.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1852. 2 suites, 8 single rooms and 50 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Further services include a 24-hour security service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

    I very rarely post negative reviews, but this was so bad that we actually ended up leaving and booking another hotel. I appreciate historic hotels but this hotel apparently has had consistent issues with the central air and heating (see other reviews citing the same) and it was so hot it was impossible to be comfortable. We had an interior room so we couldn’t even open windows to regulate, and additional you could only get wifi in the lobby.

    Hotel was amazing truly amazing the they have a famous bakery and the smell of vanilla as you come into hotel was delicious you just wanted to eat the hotel lol defo a must to stay there

    A beautiful hotel, well maintained and full of character and charm. The decor made us feel like I we were in a movie, or staying in a stately home. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and a mix of English breakfast and continental. It is situated in a great position for sightseeing Bucharest.

    We were here at the Cafe outside the hotel. Stunning location and the staff were incredibly friendly especially to children. Must try the “Joffre” cake it is divine. Atmosphere is so relaxing and great for people watching. Very easy to reach especially if you are in the Old Town.

    Awful cakes, awful people, and ruined our life event. They have neither values, nor shame, only care about money and don't respect contracts. I genuinely hope no one wastes their money and time here. They are the most shocking business we ever came across.
