  The hotel didn’t have a reception, there was sand in the beds, no sound isolation from the traffic/dogs barking and it was unhygienic. The cleaning lady was nice!

  Very tired apartments, broken glass in patio doors, cracked sanitary ware making it unhygenic. Broken glass on the patio (Cut foot!!), description on the site does not match the reality. These apartments really need an overhaul.Bedding is not premium, no safe deposit box, no residents lounge, no coffee shop, no managers reception.No staff on site to complain to.On the plus side, location was great and was relatively clean.If you want no frills at all and a great location then this place is for you. DONT take any notice of what it says it offers because it doesnt!

  We stayed there at the recommendation if my parents, who stayed there before and loved it. It was not what i expected to be fair. The bathroom was dirty and mouldy. I did not feel at ease what so ever all night, couldn't wait to get out of there. Another strange thing, they dont accept card payment!!??!

  When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us that he could not help us and gave us a number to call to get our keys. We asked him some questions, to which he responded that it was 'not his problem.' After about 30 minutes, someone arrived to give us the keys. Although we had booked two rooms, we were only given one key and had to speak to the management on the phone to get our second key. We were not told where our rooms were located or given any other helpful information. There were no lights in the hallway, no phones in the rooms and people were yelling down the hall. We ended up booking another room and leaving. We were not given a refund. Prince R, General Manager at Prince Residence, responded to this review I am very sorry for your experience in the hotel. The fact is that in the building are operating 2 companies which manage the apartments and you booked at the one who does not have the reception desk services, if you were booked directly to us Prince Reside nce you will not have any of this inconvenience.   We booked this extremely last minute due to our "deal" hotel trying to charge us current rates (3 x price). Booked through Hotwire so didn't know name until we had paid. Cost £50 per night. We got there an hour later and the hotel didn't have the booking. The receptionist was extremely helpful and professional! She took a look at the booking on our ipad (on wifi I might add), wrote down the reference number and booked us in, saying they would sort out the booking with hotwire themselves and let us know if anything was wrong, so that we didn't need to wait. We were two friends (relatives but friends as well) and were asked if we wanted the sofa bed made up. We were okay without. We were given B12. On first impressions, we were pleased. We walked into a living area, with sofa bed, tv (bit old) cupboard. There was a dining table and chairs. Across one wall is a "kitchen" with 2 stoved ring, fridge, cutlery and dishes, so you can have breakfast etc in room. The furniture is dated, as is the decor, but for us this added to the ambiance, and we felt immediately comfortable. There is an air con unit, which does work. The bathroom is long and narrow and tiled, with a walk in shower, bidet, toilet & sink. The tiling again is old, and the grouting, especially around the shower is a little grimy, age not dirt. The bedroom was a comfortable size, with a very big double bed, two bedside cabinets and a large walk in wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. The bedding was immaculate, sheets and a throw, although the throw seems a little yellowed with age. There was a patio door that opened onto a very long terrace. We loved this. The view is great, we saw over the rooftops (third floor). Behind us was a domed building and below were gardens to the front and side and then a mini part (very small). I was able to get Wifi for the whole visit, but my friend could only get it on one day. There are a few options and you need to get the right password. We were handed these when we booked in, but think they missed one off, which just happened to be my friends. When we first arrived in the taxi, I worried that the area looked slightly run down. This quickly changed! Its a few minutes walk into town, and easy to find. The streets you walk down really give you a feel for the city and we never felt unsafe. Directly opposite the hotel is a Trattori/Bar (Garibaldis). We went to get a drink one night, thinking local bar, but its more of a nice restaurant, so we left it. There is a small local shop within a couple of minutes walk for tea, milk etc. The Hotel advises (outside) a bar and restaurant but there was no evidence of either.To sum up, excellent value for money, great service and great ambiance. If you want a typical Bucharest experience you can't go wrong with this, but if you want modern glass etc this is not for you.
