    Pros ~ The hotel’s location was excellent, rooms facing the beach . Waking up to and appreciating the views of the breathtaking beach everyday was a dream. Close to the center and famous beaches ( Anse Source D Argentine others ) via bicycles which can be rented from the hotel.Nice pool with amazing views , beach lounges and cabanas available for guests to utilize. Rooms were clean, staff at the restaurant were excellent , very kind. Transport to and from the ferry port could be arranged through the hotel.Cons ~ Check in was long and tiresome , not sure why it took so long.One restaurant in the property, food was not that great , yet very expensive. Seafood buffet was horrible , not fresh at all probably the worst I have ever had. Try other restaurants in the area. Don’t forget to utilize the do not disturb sign , even if you leave your room for a second intending to go right back to the room or resting ( jet lag), staff will access your room to clean. The sign was hidden under a bunch of hotel information pamphlets in the room . If you are unable to ride a bicycle to get around , transport is expensive ( similar rates for a taxi and a buggy ), drivers will try to rip you off , Negotiate.

    Girl who did the check in was nice and very friendly and welcoming. That's the only nice thing there. I went to the hotel for my birthday - got nothing. They left me without drinking water. Hotel gives one bottle of water for 2 days. If you want something for your birthday - forget about it. When I approached reception to ask maybe the mocktail I ordered during the dinner could be my "birthday present" , I got a laugh in the face and a cold "no". I asked if it's possible to get some water bottle from the breakfast (because they didn't get any to the room) - the answer was no, but they allowed me to buy water from their breakfast 'restaurant'. First evening dinner was accompanied by a cockroach who was trying to get in my plate. I am not afraid of them, but the mood was kinda dead at that point. And a waiter smashing all over the table with his towel to get rid of it wasn't my vibe either. Room was nice though - spacious, beautiful view. Could have cleaned previous guests hair from the floor better. Coffee at the breakfast is not coffee, it's just an instant coffee made in a bigger pot. Food is ok, but nothing special. Breakfasts was better than dinner. At the end of the day it's about what you Can do and not about what you Cannot.

    Cosy and relaxing hotel with lovely staff

    Lovely hotel with Anse-Patates beach at its door step. We were welcomed by lovely Sophie-Ann with a nice smile , very polite. Great dinner with local dancers. All staff greeted us and checked up on us especially during breakfast & dinner. Great views for breakfast. The hotel provides in-room amenities for convenience. A lovely hotel for a relaxing escape. Owners are also very welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely return. 10/10

    We stayed 3 nights in Chandel room, a “Superior”. It was the end of the row on the top level so lots of steps to climb (staff deliver luggage). The view from the balcony was just WOW! A gorgeous room, very clean, freshly painted/decorated (silly netting removed from around bed so looks modern - saw no mosquitos). Modern aircon unit. Balcony was mostly shaded, which suited us, a perfect place for morning cuppa of evening drinks - loved watching the birds, bats and early fishermen. Fridge was stocked with reasonably priced water, soft drinks and beer. Breakfasts were great: plenty of variety. I loved the fresh fruit and omelette. And what an amazing view from the deck!! Looking over the most beautiful beach! Good for snorkelling too. Always a much appreciated breeze. We hired bikes from Cycle Sea because I wanted an e-bike, but the Patatran bikes looked pretty good and convenient. All staff were kind, helpful and totally brilliant! We loved the Creole party buffet on the beach. Amazing local singers. This is a really good value hotel at the prettiest part of a wonderful island. If you have mobility issues, you may need to speak with the hotel to ensure a lower floor room.

    its a bit outside the main area but definitely worth it - La Digue is not big at all so you get anywhere with a bicycle in any case. we really enjoyed the rooms, service and location and the hotel beach. beautiful place and well worth to use it as base for the island.
