Most convenient location in Little India

    rating24 Aug 2025

We visited Singapore with family of elderly parents and kids, and that was in 2011. We re-visited after 14 years, and chose the same hotel. Only the name has changed from Broadway to Quay. The reason why we choose the same place is quite apparent, it's location and no-frills hospitality. There are plenty of similar accomodation places in the vicinity, but The Quay (erstwhile Broadway) takes all the votes. We booked a triple room for 6 nights. Very smooth check-in, the front desk is very efficient. As expected in Singapore, the rooms are not very spacious, but it served well for us, since we were mostly outdoors sightseeing. The beds are comfortable with clean linen. Bathroom is quite spacious. Complimentary tea-coffee and a glass bottle is kept for refilling RO water as necessary. The rooms are cleaned every day even if you don't mention. Although the location is right next to the bus stop, the noise level is not quite disturbing. There are two Indian restaurants beneath, with north Indian specialty: Jaggi's and Amber. Although one of our main reasons to stay in Little India was to gain easy access to Indian food, but we never tried these two restaurants. In fact, if you walk down a couple of by-lanes, you will come across Bangladeshi restaurants with very good quality food at a very low cost. We mostly had our meals there as per our taste buds.Talking about Broadway/ Quay, this is a place we will come back time and again whenever we're in Singapore

    Have seen better days

    rating02 Feb 2023

Stayed here only because of its close proximity to Mustaffa as the family wanted to shop. The hotel has seen better days for sure. At the moment it resembles those cheap lodges you find near railway stations in India.. Absolutely not worth the money you pay as the place is dirty and unkept and definitely needs urgent repairs and maintenance. Service?well forget about it. Stay here at your own risk.

    Advantages of the Hotel

    rating13 Oct 2022

This hotel is located not far away from the MRT station Farrer Park. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. The room is not small. The bed is comfortable. There is no noise at nighttime. The price is reasonable.

Budget gem in a great location

    rating26 Apr 2022

Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch.Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day!I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.
