  Terrible staff, noisy room and soaky bathroom

  Conclusion: Avoid this hotel.I stayed four nights at this hotel in March 2026. Honestly, I don't care too much about their customer service. I know I'm in a budgeted hotel and as long as the things I get are not of my tolerance level, I won't bother to give any negative comments. Terrible staff: When check out, there were three front desk staff sitting at the reception, and nobody give you any eyes contact. Fine. I approached a male front desk staff, and told him my room number. He glared at me and kept slient. I repeated my room number again. Then he raised his voice and accused me I shouted at him. I was shocked and denied it. However, his attitude was terribily rude and he stood up and seem his emotion has lost control. I decided to leave but I want to know his name, so I can write a complaint email to follow up this incident and other issues. After asking for his name, he threatening me and said he will take a picture of me. I have to thanks another hotel guest (a western lady) stopped this guy. Given the situation is totally outrageous, I called the police for assistance. This guy keep taunted me that "I'm so scared" "I'm terrified" etc...The police finally came about 10 minutes later and unfortunately, the police officer said they can't do anything but if he posted my pictures or videos on social media, then I can sue him and the hotel. (p.s. I only can see his last name is "Lim" from his name tag)(p.p.s. The duty manager Marsha sat next to him but do nothing to cool down the situation. With all respects, perhaps she should consider not taking a management role in my opinion) Noisy room: Yes, very noisy like literally you and your neighbour are staying in the same room. Whenever they have a call or watching TV etc... you won't miss anything. Soaky bathroom: Don't trust any pictures taken by the hotel. They are quite misleading. You should expect all the things will be wet after shower. Hot water and water pressure are pretty good though.   Exceptional Anniversary Stay at Value Hotel Thomson

  We had a truly wonderful stay at Value Hotel Thomson for our anniversary. Every aspect of the service was exceptional, starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance who were always there to open the door for us.The reception team is incredibly professional, and we were particularly impressed by the excellent phone etiquette and professional call handling from the operators whenever we reached out from our room.The housekeeping was also very consistent, ensuring our stay was quiet, clean, and comfortable.A very special thank you goes to Tie Zyu and Marsya from Guest Relations. They prepared an excellent anniversary surprise for us, and we were so touched by their thoughtful message and the beautiful room arrangement. Their efforts made our celebration truly memorable.   The staff at the hotel are very very hospitable from the reception to the room cleaning staff. My special thanks to Shawn who is always there with a smile and goes out of his way to help the clients.   Rooms are big in size and hotel very clean. Staff good behaviour and location also very good.   Location, Atmosphere , room , value, cleanliness , service & Amenities are okay. Noise level need to improve .Glass got minor water seepage when outside heavy rain.
