    “Unprofessional Management Ruined the Experience”

    I have been staying in Bratislava regularly for the past 15 years (about once a month), always at Hotel River Park, but this time I decided to try something different and booked Hotel Avance. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.The room was spacious, but the beds were of poor quality and far from comfortable. The breakfast was clearly below standard — disappointing quality overall.While the staff were friendly and polite, the owner’s behavior was completely unprofessional. He walks around the hotel in a tracksuit and sneakers as if appearances and hospitality standards simply do not matter — everything but class.The situation became unacceptable during breakfast. I was apparently speaking too loudly on the phone, and instead of addressing the matter respectfully, the owner started shouting at me in a loud and extremely rude manner because he was having a meeting around the corner. His tone and approach were boorish and entirely inappropriate for someone representing a hotel.This was my first and definitely my last stay here. I will gladly return to Hotel River Park — friendly, stylish, professional, and with an excellent breakfast. Since making the reservation through booking.com, you wanted to pay upon departure, which indicated your intention, which was fulfilled, upon arrival you changed four rooms and there was some problem in each one. It is sad that you are slandering me and lying, that I shouted at you, which is not true, we have a clear record that this was not the case, we know guests like you. You expected us to refund your money for the entire stay and that we would have free accommodation, which did not happen. However, you received 2x wellness and late check out as compensation. I have nothing more to write about this, let our clients make up their own mind. I am glad that you will now only go to the River Park Hotel and not to us.     Very nice hotel, on excellent location in the city center (but very quite at night) with very polite receptionist. Very comfortable and clean rooms, tasty breakfast with very nice variety of food. Also offer a small garage with aditional payment.

    We stayed one night due to Octagon competition. The room was quite, clean, comfortable.     Great location but disappointed by the staff treatment

    A well located hotel,close to the downtown but with a mediocre room service and we had an issue with a noisy private party until late night in the lobby when the staff was ignoring our complaints. The bartender and the male reception staff were very unprofessional! Dusan Skvarenina, General Manager at Hotel Avance, responded to this review dobre rano efca,velmi nas mrzi zla skusenost s akciou, ktoru sme viac X upozornili, aby bola pokojnejsia, avsak nas nerespektovala.na akcii boli prevazne odidenci z UA, ktorych hostili slovensky “zachrancovia”. Vasa zla skunost nas mrzi, ja vsak chapem tazky zivot odidencov z UA na SR asom rad, ze sa vedia trosku etablovat u nas, snad to pochopite a nezanevriete na Hotel Avance.

    The only one thing which is good on this hotel is its location. Awful smell in the room, unfriendly staff in all areas of the hotel and WiFi not working at all. I wil never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to other's .
