This hotel is located at the heart of the city of Bratislava, directly opposite the Presidential Palace. The historical centre with the many shops and entertainment venues are to be found a few minutes walk away. There is a stop for public transport just in front of the hotel. The city's airport is roughly 10 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 5 lifts and features 224 rooms. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine.     Massive improvement following renovations

    Stayed here a couple of years ago and thought it wasn’t the best, dull, dated etc but what a difference this timeFrom the moment you walk in it’s like a different hotel, reception is plush and modern, I think the only thing that still exists is the liftThe receptionist was fantastic and very helpful, let me check in way early as a diamond IHG member, explained all sorts about hotel facilities. Only thing wrong here is despite asking again at checkout no one added the welcome amenity IHG points which is a regular issue across IHG hotels and a bit of a pain. Very nice diamond member upgrade to a suite with loungeEasy to get to from airport on public bus for less than £2 , easy to get tickets on local app . Good location for old town at night and shopping centre areas during the day. Easy to excess bus / train station also with a tram from there taking you to right outside the back of hotel Room upgrade was fantastic and the functionality within it was way better since the refurb , so id imagine standard rooms will also be much better. They also left a box of chocolates in the room and a lovely card as it was my birthday during the stay, not needed but a nice touch Great breakfast service and no issues getting tables.     Perfect for Bratislava

    Absolutely wonderful stay with no issues. Quite good room size for the price paid with all basic amenities in place. Had a wonderful stay for a week on business. The convenient location near the old town gives access to a wide range of restaurants around. The staff is extremely helpful , in particular Anna who was generous in facilitating the late check out. The breakfast was yummy too, though gets repetitive for a long stay. The room was cleaned every day, the wifi was good enough, the air conditioner worked as well ( much unlike most hotels in Europe).     Would have been perfect if the AC had worked

    Good location for exploring the city - walkable to the main sights or a short bus/tram ride if you're coming from the train station. Staff were genuinely friendly and full of good local recommendations; the places they suggested turned out to be excellent.I was upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was a nice surprise as it was a huge (bigger than my apartment) comfortable room with plenty of space. It has been newly refurbished and was spotlessly clean, and had all of the modern amenities like a smart TV and capsule coffee machine.The one disappointment I had was the air conditioning, which really struggled to cope even on a relatively mild day (around 25°C outside). I guess it's because Bratislava doesn't typically get too hot, but the room was uncomfortably hot and humid and even opening the windows didn't fix it. I left them open hoping it would, and couldn't be bothered trying to get them to fix it when I got back at 1AM because I knew there was very little they could have done with the hotel being fully booked and I just wanted to sleep.It would have been an easy 5 stars if the AC could have been sorted.     Excellent hotel who has excellent staff and great service. The hotel recently has undertaken renovations at front desk, club lounge, Restaurant, and the also some suites. The renovations are excellent the hotel has always excelled in soft product but now has an excellent hard product. I really enjoyed my breakfast with Magda and other staff understanding the importance of not placing mushroom in my omelet. I enjoy the fresh orange juice each morning and the nice selection in the evening in the club lounge. The bar has a good menu all day as well as some nice cakes and sandwiches ready made. The staff make you feel welcome and try and make my stay seamless and enjoyable. I look forward to returning again soon.
