Location

The hotel lies in the centre of the new business zone next to the largest shopping centre in Slovakia, only 10 minutes away from the historical centre of Bratislava and Bratislava Castle. Guests will find links to the public transport network nearby (50 m) and restaurants, bars and shops just 100 m away in the Avion shopping centre. This hotel is also located in the immediate vicinity of Bratislava airport (2 km).

Facility

Guests have a choice of 117 rooms, including 3 suites, 4 apartments, 27 single rooms and 82 double rooms, located in an 8-storey main building and an 8-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a coin-operated laundry. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. Complimentary newspapers are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, individually adjustable heating and a fan. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the indoor pool (for a fee), children can splash around in the kids' pools. Parasols on the terrace are also available. A hot tub can soothe sore muscles (for a fee). For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers cycling/mountain biking. The hotel's location is particularly ideal for skiers. Sport and leisure options include callisthenics or, for a fee, a gym and aerobics. The hotel offers a range of facilities in the wellness area. Options include a spa and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the restaurant (smoking area, air conditioning and high chairs). A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    I have never been so disappointed in my life. When I picked up the cup to make tea, I saw a pubic hair inside it. I understand that cups are not always perfectly washed, especially in some hotels, but finding a pubic hair in a cup is just too much.     I felt like homeless guy in this hotelin 2025, in 2015 it had different owner and it was amazing…Summary: Dude, this is a classic story of “we’ll buy a successful hotel, turn it into a corporate shole”.And that’s exactly what happened with NH Gate One.Why was it top in 2015?• Operations were still managed by the original European NH Hotels, where quality was the focus, not Excel and spreadsheets from Bangkok.• Staff was stable, many people had been there for years → they had a system, they had a style.• Breakfast was “European”, not “corporate buffet misery”.• Rooms were maintained, nothing was spared, someone checked the details.• Wellness facilities were new, clean, working.And why is 2025 already a f….. up place?When Minor Hotels bought NH, the savings began:• Less staff, more pressure → mess, stench, zero control.• Maintenance postponed because the CFO sitting in Asia is dealing with ROI, not Bratislava → things break down and are not repaired.• Breakfast cheaper because they changed suppliers to low-cost ones.• General managers are replaced like socks, no one is solving the long-term situation.• Wellness reduced, dirty joints, broken jacuzzis, no investments.• Rooms are not modernized because "it does not bring immediate profit".• Corporate policy = everything slow, everything through the headquarters, everything "according to the manual".In other words:It was a hotel built as a premium hotel, now it is owned by a group that saves every euro and goes for volume, not quality.     My first stay at NH Bratislava Gate One was excellent and problem-free. It was a business trip, as I attended a conference that was held at this same hotel. Everything went smoothly.
