  Wonderful welcoming hotel with beautiful lake views. Away from the bustle and noise of Bled, this hotel is a haven. Very close to the train station but no train noise. Delicious breakfasts, very helpful staff and a great swimming pool. We both had massages which were excellent.

  We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Triglav Bled. The location is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views over Lake Bled and its famous island. Waking up to that view was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.The hotel has a charming historic character, while still providing comfortable and modern facilities. Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help.The breakfast was nice, with a great selection of freshly prepared dishes and delicious local specialties. The restaurant also offers a fantastic setting overlooking the lake.We particularly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The pool is a little dated but still practical.Hotel Triglav is a short walk away from the busy centre of Bled, but this actually makes it a perfect place for a relaxing stay, also the tourist road train is only a 2 minute walk away. You can take bikes from the hotel which is a bonus but there are only 2 helmets for the entire hotel! The beautiful walk/cycle along the lake makes getting around part of the experience.Overall, we had a memorable stay and would happily recommend Hotel Triglav to anyone visiting Bled. The stunning views, excellent breakfast, welcoming staff, and unique atmosphere make this hotel a special place to stay

  Nice hotel, but missing some key attributes.

  We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Triglav, the hotel itself is quaint with historic details throughout, the rooms are spacious and have a balcony. The breakfast is excellent and so is the service for breakfast and the views which are breathtaking. The free bicycles were a very nice touch and much needed to get about without a car. However there are a things which left us disappointed - We booked the hotel back in January and one of the reasons was the good restaurant onsite. We were told a week before our stay at the end of July (only because I enquired about our arrival night) that the restaurant had actually closed back in March so this meant taxis to and from dinner each evening. The room didn't have a mirror, even though there was a dressing table. I had to apply my makeup by using the toilet seat in the bathroom to place my makeup bag, really not ideal in a hotel of this calibre. We were told multiple times that we could use the showers down in the spa on the last day because we had a late flight - we were not told this meant showering and getting changed in the dark as there are no working lights in the spa area (very odd and uncomfortable as you can imagine).

  Amazing stay!

  We've just spent the past week at this hotel and had an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations.We stayed in a top-floor, lakeside room with a balcony, and the view was breathtaking. From our room we had uninterrupted views of Lake Bled, Bled Island and its church, the surrounding mountains and countryside, and even a glimpse of Bled Castle.The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, attentive and genuinely helpful. We did have one issue early on with a rattling noise, which we suspected was coming from the air conditioning. As soon as we mentioned it, the staff resolved it promptly and we didn't experience the problem again.The room itself was spacious and very comfortable. The ensuite had everything we needed, while the bedroom offered plenty of space. There was also a separate seating area with a sofa, several chairs, tables and a small TV. We only used the TV briefly to watch a little of the Tour de France, so can't comment much on it, although it was just about visible from the bed if you wanted to watch it there.The desk housed a minibar with a selection of drinks. The price list is available via the room's QR code (on the Slovenian-language page), and we found the prices to be very reasonable. There was also enough spare space for our own food, and we comfortably fitted in fruit, cheese and a few snacks.One thing we particularly appreciated was how dark the room became at night. With the bathroom shutters, balcony door and skylight all closed, it was almost completely blackout, making it perfect for sleeping. The only noticeable light came from the air conditioning unit, so if you're particularly sensitive to small lights while sleeping, it may be worth bringing an eye mask.The air conditioning turns on automatically only when the balcony door and windows are closed, which is a nice eco-friendly touch. We found the room remained at a comfortable temperature throughout our stay, despite the hot weather.Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of dishes that you can choose from each morning. For lunch and dinner, we mostly explored the many restaurants around Lake Bled, and we rarely needed to book in advance as most accepted walk-ins. On a couple of days, we bought sandwich fillings from the local SPAR and enjoyed lunch on our balcony while taking in the incredible view.We also made good use of the swimming pool and spa. The pool was especially welcome after spending time walking around the lake in the summer heat. Every time we visited, we had the entire pool to ourselves, which made it feel incredibly peaceful and relaxing. There's also a button that activates a jacuzzi feature within the pool. The hotel's terrace is another great place to unwind with a drink while taking in the beautiful surrounding scenery. The drinks were reasonably priced and in line with what we found elsewhere around Lake Bled.There is so much to do around Lake Bled. We enjoyed walking around the lake, taking a boat to the island, visiting both the church and Bled Castle, browsing the shops and trying a variety of local restaurants. If you leave the hotel and turn left, there's a fairly steep path down to the lake, whereas turning right provides a gentler route with a less demanding incline. If you're travelling by car, we'd also recommend taking a day trip to Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave. Ljubljana is only around an hour away and is well worth visiting too.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to return on our next visit to Slovenia. The combination of the stunning location, spectacular views and outstanding staff made it a memorable holiday. Whether you're staying for a week like we did or just stopping for a night or two, we highly recommend this hotel.

  Location is outstanding, on a hill overlooking lake Bled. The room is very quiet and very clean as was the rest of the hotel. My package included a massage, a bicycle rental, and a one hour row boat rental. The breakfasts were plentiful, and the food was excellent. It was not obvious from the advertisement that the hotel did not have a restaurant for the evening. This was very disappointing because restaurants in the area were very unfriendly to the point that I walked out of one and went to the local supermarket and bought a sandwich for dinner. While my room was spacious, comfortable, and had an outstanding view of the lake, the furniture was very old and the sofa and high back chair were uncomfortable to the point that I could not use them. Other pieces of furniture showed wear, scratches and scuff marks. The hotel had a very small indoor swimming pool and equally small gym and sauna area that I did not use. Overall, given the $425 a night that I paid, the hotel is overpriced given some of the deficiencies that I mentioned in this review.
