Nice place, but need new management

    rating04 Sept 2026

A very disappointing experience. In the upgraded room we were assigned, the air conditioning leaked throughout the night, causing ice to fall onto the bed. At breakfast, we discovered plastic in the scrambled eggs, and the selection of cold cuts was of the lowest quality. While the staff is polite, they clearly lack experience. Additionally, no towels were available in the wellness area. It feels as though the management is completely disorganized.

Good swimming but better in Lake Bohinj

    rating21 Aug 2026

Fair hotel. Disgusted we had to pay for bottled water at night. Not even given tap water for the children. Staff unhelpful and rude

    Fairytale wedding

    rating21 Aug 2026

We’ve just returned from our daughter’s wedding at this hotel. They went above and beyond to make everyone feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. It was the best wedding we have ever been to. It was a real life fairytale wedding in every sense. We will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff Magical

    Not worth the price tag

    rating19 Aug 2026

We recently stayed at Eco Hotel Bohinj for three nights and booked one of the suites on the 4th floor. The suite itself was lovely and spacious, with the added bonus of a separate room for our son, which made our stay much more comfortable. The balcony views were absolutely stunning and were definitely the highlight of the room. That said, if we had realised just how far the hotel was from Lake Bohinj, we probably would have chosen somewhere closer to the lake. The location is convenient for exploring the area by car, but if being close to the lake is important to you, I would recommend looking at other options. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, although we did have a couple of disappointing experiences. One evening, a blonde female member of staff was quite rude to my husband. On another evening, I asked reception for some fresh tea bags and clean cups for our room, as the cups had been dirty for several days. The man at reception initially argued that they didn't provide tea bags or drinks in the rooms, before eventually realising that the 4th-floor suites were different. It was an unnecessarily frustrating interaction.Breakfast was okay but, overall, nothing particularly memorable. Our son did enjoy the pancake-making machine, though! The suites are spacious and comfortable, but some of the furniture is starting to look tired and worn, which was surprising given the price. For the cost of the 4th-floor suites, we expected a little more.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the beautiful views and spacious suite were definite positives. However, for the price, we didn't feel the experience quite lived up to expectations. If you're visiting Bohinj, I would seriously consider booking somewhere closer to Lake Bohinj, especially if you're looking for better value and a more convenient location.
