Dissapointing second part of the stay

    rating05 May 2026

My wife chose Rimske Terme for a 14-day post-operative rehabilitation stay. During her stay, they closed the pool complex for four days due to scheduled maintenance work. She had not been informed in advance about the planned maintenance; otherwise, she would have chosen a different date or another spa resort. The head of the medical and spa complex did not agree to a temporary interruption of the rehabilitation and its continuation after the pool complex reopened.

To be avoided: this is NOT a 4 star hotel.

    rating15 Nov 2025

What was meant to be a weekend of pampering and indulgence turned out to be a very bad experience. I booked a suite. On arrival, the room was poorly heated and inspite of trying to up the thermostat, the situation only approved when I urged the reception to find an electric radiator and bring it to the suite (which they did). The bathroom was cold, with the radiator switched off.As for the pool and the jacuzzies: the pool is much smaller that on the photos, with too many people admitted, which meant that all the jacuzzies were full all the time. Also the water could be warmer (the website says 32 degrees C, but that simply cannot be true). The pool area is not a quiet area: there are people talking loudly and talking loudly on their phones! But the most horrible thing is the food. I had booked a half-board and dinner on the first night was worse than a factory cantine. I cannot remember when I last experienced such poor food quality in a hotel. Also, the dinner restaurant is a very large open space, with poor acoustics and too cold (again), something you would expect in a 2 or 3 star hotel. The second night I wanted to avoid the horrible food and went to Princess Victoria Cafe. The staff there are incredibly nice and professional. I ordered tagliatelle with shrimps and tomatos and the dish came with a heavy cream sauce, with a few colourless shrimps on the top. At that point I really had enough of disappoitments regarding the food.I am the kind of person who is positive and always looking for the good things. And so I really want to mention everything that was good during my stay: the kind and lovely lady at the reception; great staff at Princess Victoria Cafe, especially the ladies working there; the massage I had, with Tina as a fantastic practitioner; the comfortable bed, which was greatly appreciated. To conclude: Hotel Rimski dvor IS NOT a 4 star hotel and is totally overpriced for the level of service they provide. I will not be coming back.

XXL Romance with red roses in beautiful nature

    rating03 Dec 2024

Extraordinary experience in thermal spa Rimske terme, Slovenia. My husband and I spent three day in thermal spa Rimske terme. Our stay was very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed very much XXL romance package with delicious and rich breakfast and dinner buffet. As part of the package we enjoyed very much romantic bath with Sparkling wine and pralines and 4-course romantic dinner. Specially we liked big indoor and outdoor pools with nicely warm thermal water and different types of saunas. Staff was very nice and professional and not to mention that thermal spa is very clean. Really nice experience. We will come back.

    Not 4 star hotel

    rating02 Nov 2024

Parking is not free, even hotel guests have to pay for it. The rooms are clean but with average equipment, the TV doesn't work. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The biggest complaint is the food, the food selection is poor. We stayed here for the weekend and I can say that we didn't have any choice of food. It's definitely not a 4-star hotel.

Top spa resort hotel with magnificent thermal bath complex

    rating25 Sept 2024

Excellent hotel resort. The very modern hotel was very comfortable. Our corner room, 725, had a beautiful view of the valley. The room was very spacious. The thermal pools are enormous. You get a fluffy bathrobe and slippers. The complex has indoor and outdoor areas. There are three outdoor hot tubs, one of which is so big you can swim laps, short ones. The sauna complex has 5 differentsaunas, Finnish, herbal, steam, infared, and one more. There is a cold plunge pool in the sauna area. The sauna is complete nude! No bathing suits. You get one sauna visit included in the room rate, after that it’s 15 euros each. We booked a two night stay with secretescapes.de, a german travel site. Our room, breakfast, and dinner was 136€ night, two night minimum. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were both great. Many choices and dining room very nice and airy. At dinner we ordered wine and beer, 3-5 €. The dinner service does not provide water or coffee free of charge. I had one massage, from Elena, originally from Russia. A 50 minute massage was 65€. She was a wonderful masseuse. The lounge area on the 7th floor had a great view of the valley. The room is very inviting. Throughout the hotel they play lovely piano music. The grounds are huge, just outside the main town of Lasko. We didn’t have enough time for the hiking trails. The town of Celje is about 20 minutes by car. The castle and museum are well worth a visit. The history of the nobility of Celje and the Roman preservation are superb. The area has a history of glass making. The old town area of Celje was walkable and a pedestrian zone. The Europa hotel looks like the place to stay.
