Location

The hotel is an ideal point of departure for trips to other parts of Slovenia. In an hours' drive, guests can find themselves on the enchanting Slovenian coast, exploring the cobbled streets of medieval town of Piran, enjoying delicious seafood fare, or partying in Portorož. It takes even less time to reach the fairy-tale Lake Bled with a picture-perfect tiny island, or the breath-taking underground world of Postojna Caves. The property is located right in the heart of Ljubljana, a relaxed capital, where castles and dragons exist alongside trendy bars and exciting nightlife.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 203 rooms and 3 suites. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a library.     A great hotel - location was perfect. Car parking spaces were generous, hotel was spotless, staff friendly, room was very good with air con and all facilities and a powerful shower. Excellent breakfast with amazing choice. All in all a very enjoyable 24 hour stay in Ljubljana

    The hotel is very centrally located near the bus/train station. It is accessible to many tourist attractions and along the waterfront with lots of restaurants. You can take a bus from any corners out of the main city.The room I booked was very spacious. The amenity is very basic (but without conditioner) and is enough for me. They have air-conditioner and the window can also be opened for fresh air.The staff are very friendly. The breakfast at the hotel is very good, it is a full breakfast with hot and cold food. Something unique about this hotel is that, if you decided not to have your room cleaned for the day, they will give you 2 complimentary drinks at the bar. As we stayed for 6 nights, we had it cleaned on alternate days and we got the complimentary drinks. A great idea and win-win for both parties.I will highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Ljubjana. We had a great stay!

    Hotel exceeded expectations - starting with extremely friendly staff in all areas. Got amazing room upgrade on arrival. Super clean, brilliant breakfast choices, lovely lobby , bar and sun terrace and showing French open on lobby tv was a bonus for us tennis fans - though this was only when resting between trips out to explore the beautiful city of Ljubljana.

    We chose City Hotel for its location and previous reviews but it exceeded expectations. The location is brilliant - easy to walk to from the bus station and even closer to the river and all the sights and bars and restaurants in the other direction. The staff at the hotel are so helpful and really want you to have a good time, the bar staff were very helpful. The breakfast has a wonderful selection and the staff keep it well stocked plus clear away efficiently. Our room was really comfortable, the bed was great and there is a wide choice of pillows. The bathroom has l’Occitane toiletries and was clean with a great shower. We liked the artwork of the city in our room. All in all we were very happy with our choice.

    Great location ( some rooms with castle view) even though its town centre it’s quiet ( and I am a light sleeper) Great breakfast selection. While beds weren’t perfectly comfortable ( twin share room so always felt as like I was rolling out of the twin bed) the pillows were great. AMAZING shower 🤣 very kind and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again. Loved that they had a water fountain in the lobby so you can refill! Great location for walking through town!
