This hotel is situated near the Villach/ Kranj motorway exit in the direction of the city centre, which is about 2 km away. Cross country skiing paths lie within 2.5 km of the hotel and the nearest ski are is around 25 km away.

    We were a group of 13 people, traveling to Ljubljana for a training course with our local partner. We had an amazing stay at M Hotel - comfortable, warm rooms, spacious bathrooms. The working room, which we rented at the hotel was spacious enough and well equipped with everything we need. Amazing food - we selected the full board option and we enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel. We would certainly use the same accommodation next time we visit Ljubljana.

    Dear My husband and I stayed at the hotel for four nights.Everything was perfect, I have no complaints, neat, clean, rooms, all other areas, and I especially have to highlight the rich breakfast and New Year's dinner, everything was so top-notch, from the ingredients to the menu, I have no words to emphasize how top-notch everything was, and now the most important thing in this whole story, that everything can be top-notch, rooms, food, and everything else...Mr. Milan, the restaurant manager, is so helpful, so pleasant, he takes care of everything and approaches his job with soul. So, in addition to professionalism, he also has a soul, something that is rarely found, that is, a personal approach to the guest, warmth, humanity, professionalism, a truly wonderful person. I would also like to commend the young Mr. Tino at the reception and Ms. Jelena, who were, I hope, extremely kind, compassionate and answered all our questions and more, and I also congratulate you on the choice of staff..I would certainly commend Mr. Jakob and Mr. Ivan from the restaurant, who were extremely kind, pleasant and answered our every question and comment...     We again had a very pleasant stay in Hotel M in Ljubljana.It was my fourth and not last time!Again our room was extra clean and had everything we needed! I was sceptic about sleeping on sofa bed but it was just as comfortable as a normal bed!The receptionists were just amazing!The restaurant at breakfast time was full with guests but all the waiters and other workers were working fast, professional and even smiling! We found table quickly, they refilled all the food and drinks in a second! Respect! I was positively shocked how well organized everything was and i could take and eat my breakfast without any delay or interruption! Thank you for your hard work. It was our pleasure to stay in Hotel M!

    Disappointing attitude towards customers, overpriced breakfast, out to get your money!

    Shocking experience. We booked a double room, and were told we had a twin room at check in. I asked if it was possible to have the double that we booked and paid for (as the hotel was half empty) and the scruffy receptionist told us that it would cost €300 "or more" as they only have one double room left. Why we didn't get that double room I don't know. Of course we rejected this offer.The room was cramped and walls peeling. It had a smoke smell despite labelled non smoking. There was nowhere to really put my work laptop and notes, so I asked the receptionist if I could use some form of business suite for one hour in the morning for a work call. Surprise, he told me I could - but it would cost me €300. So I can either pay him, cash only, or call another hotel.To top this off there is no soundproofing in the room so we were awoken throughout the night by loud guests outside the room, and the slamming of the communal door to the elevators. We paid for breakfast in the morning which was extortionate and consisted of old cheese and a load of fruits. There were only a couple of hot food options and they were limited to wet scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, or bread to toast. I sent a complaint to this hotel and they gave me a long winded reply, doubling down on the cost being a real thing, and refusing to even offer some form of refund - pulling up some buried terms and conditions about it being a partner offer so I technically could not be guaranteed a double bed. Shocking customer service and a shady backroom operation. We put a lot of effort into making our guests’ stay pleasant and memorable. Our staff always try to resolve situations on the spot to ensure a positive experience.Changing room types at reception happens daily, and we always try to honor our guests’ wishes whenever possible, even if the booking was made for a different room type or if there is a need to change on spot.Let me point out that the your booking for one day was made for TWIN room not double and that room was also reserved for you. We have already sent you the complete and transparent booking confirmation of your booking from Expedia, including all the details of your booking – prices, room type, services provided and commission. It is clearly stated that your booking was made for a twin room, not a double, and our staff already explained this to you at check-in and via email.When you arrived at the hotel – during the night – hotel was fully booked - 143 out of 144 rooms occupied and all the guest were already checked it, so we dont know where you got info of half empty hotel. The only free room left was the Deluxe Suite, and our staff simply offered you the only available room in the hotel to change. We never force anybody to pay extra additional to the booking made. We do not accept cash payments during the night, so this statement is also incorrect.To ensure the correct type of rooms we always encourge guest to book directly or at lease check with hotel prior to arrival the type of room especialy when booking via different OTAs.Best regardsGregor
