    Extremely Slow and Unattentive Service

    rating15 Aug 2026

The staff were not very pleasant and the service was extremely slow. The most frustrating part was seeing the waiters standing right next to you, almost looking at you, without ever coming over to ask what you wanted. You can wait a very long time just to order a drink or a cocktail. Overall, a very disappointing and unprofessional level of service.

Unsuitable for asthmatics and allergy sufferers – damp, moldy rooms and a complete lack of flexibility.

    rating28 Jul 2026

We experienced extreme disappointment and unprofessional service at the Remisens Hotel Lucija, despite paying over €200 per night. I am a diagnosed allergy and asthma sufferer. Before booking, I contacted both the reservation center and the reception; they assured me that carpet-free rooms were available and instructed me to include a note regarding my medical needs when making the reservation. Despite this, upon arrival, we were given a room with carpeting. After pointing this out, we were moved to the ground floor—to a room that was extremely damp and smelled strongly of mold. Only after a lengthy argument at the reception (where they initially even demanded an extra fee for the room change) we finally get a suitable room, after unnecessary stress. When I later tried to email them to check options and guarantee a medically suitable room (free of carpets, dampness, and mold) before booking a second stay two weeks later, their written response confirmed that the Remisens Group has no protocols for guests with medical conditions. They treat medical requirements merely as non-binding "special requests" to be decided by the reception staff upon arrival. The hotel and the entire chain are unsuitable for guests with asthma or allergies; despite the high prices, they cannot guarantee a suitable room, leaving the risk of encountering damp, moldy accommodation entirely to chance upon arrival. Highly unprofessional and disappointing.

Wonderful stay in freshly new hotel

    rating06 May 2026

First time in this hotel, which is freshly renovated and, I must say, very nicely designed. The indoor pool is excellent; the outdoor one starts working after the season [off-season], so we didn't try it, but the indoor pool has access to outdoor sun loungers and a garden that is fantastic. The food for breakfast and dinner is quite decent. The hotel management made an effort to make our stay even more pleasant than expected, and we are very grateful to them for that. Special praise for Ms. Milena from the reception. We will definitely come again.
