    Love the exotic ambiance

    Some of the reviews about Singa Lodge described it as being a little worn at the edges, and that is arguably true, but don’t let it dissuade you from staying. My traveling companion and I stayed four nights in Port Elizabeth before heading to our safari, and I chose Singa based on the photos of its exotic decor. Our room was two levels, with the lower entrance-level being a colourful Moroccan-style sitting room with a fridge and a coffee station. It was a beautiful place for a cup of tea, and a book with the windows wide open, and the afternoon sunlight streaming in. The upper floor of the suite was extremely spacious, with a king-size bed and a surprisingly comfortable futon-style mattress. The walls of windows were beautiful, and they opened to the tree tops. The massive bathroom with a soaking tub and a shower was separated from the sleeping area by a large armoire and a screen around the toilet. (Maybe not the kind of room to share with a work colleague.) I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was terrific and helped us secure a driver to take us around to various stops in Port Elizabeth. Breakfast was included in our stay and was even prepared despite a four-hour power outage in the city. For travelers from other continents looking to enjoy the flavor of Africa, Singa’s wonderfully-decorated rooms will impress you.     As always, I love the decor and Buli, Thuli and co were always friendly and very helpful. I would encourage management to ensure regular maintenance/ aesthetic awareness to keep the property at its best at all times- some wear and tear is visible.     We had one very nice night here in PE before heading on to our game reserve. Lovely hotel in a nice part of town with super staff and nice appointed rooms. Very comfortable bed, tasty breakfasts and wonderfully helpful staff. Just a few minutes from bars and restaurants.     Hi After previous visit to your facility I was hugely disappointed this time around. I stayed in room 8 and shower has mildew ,and room need TLC . See attached photo. Surely you have higher standard than this. I will not use this facility until you assure me that problem has been resolved.
