    The lobby and check in was very crowded but we did not have to wait long for our room key. We booked online and had pre-paid. The room was spacious, the shower was very good. The gym was small, but did perfectly well for a run after our flight (24/7). We ate a la carte in the restaurant. It was very busy but service was good, and the grilled hake was excellent. We did have a bit of a walk from the international arrivals terminal but the next day picking up our hire car was very easy. Overall, a good choice for one night between travel arrangements.

    by over R1000 an extra fact more than R1000 the last time I paid R2300 now I’m paying R3900 and so we are very very upset that for some unknown reason that they would put up the price that much. I think it’s price gouging. I think it’s greed.     Great travel hotel and suprisingly even better than expected!

    As with many others, our international flight arrived the evening before our South Africa adventures began. The hotel is very easy to WALK to, and you remain on the airport grounds throughout the entire journey. Having stayed their only overnight, I didn't get to experience everything, but I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.Pros:1. Easy indoor walk on airport grounds.2. Well maintained and clean accomodations.3. Super comfortable beds.4. Wonderful breakfast buffet.5. Friendly staff.Cons? None that I noticed!     Great for an overnight

    My wife and I spent 1 night at City Lodge before flying out to Asia the following day.It was a bit of a mission following signs, walkways beside airport parking and lifts before we got to reception after 5 or so minutes. Much easier going back to the terminal following day taking us straight into departure checkin area.Checkin was easy but we did note how cold it was in the corridors leading to our room and in the room.Not sure if there are power issues in Johannesburg or just saving money by the hotel but it was chilly.Room was good after we turned up the air conditioner but obviously not double glazing as aircraft noise could be heard easily.Beds were great and a good size room and bathroom.We availed ourself of both dinner and breakfast and both buffets were exceptional.Both quality of food and choices were superb.Nice pool area which we didn’t use and you could certainly spend a couple of nights here.Was quite pricey , but I don’t think there was a lot of availability when we booked late.Still, much cheaper than the intercontinental next door.Would definitely stay again.     Convenient, Clean and Comfortable Lodging at Airport

    The hotel is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from the terminal. There is clear signage to follow. Walkway has a roof overhead and is along the parking garage.The rooms are large enough and clean. Bedding is comfortable.The on-site restaurant is quite good. Enjoyed the “Plate” of African favorites for dinner and the extensive, breakfast buffet with hot, cold and made to order items.
