  Cockroaches, leaking roofs and poor management.

  Oh My God ! The worst ever accommodation I have stayed in. Please ignore the pictures in their advert and see the real deal from the pics that I have posted. I have given 1 star because that's all Trip Advisor will allow me, I would give a minus 5 if allowed. I visited with a group of 19 cricketers for a week. Bearing in mind that I had read some poor reviews, I scouted around until I had the contact information and called the manager Steven several times to try and ensure that everything would be in place for our visited and was assured by him that it would.Wow... we arrived late evening by which it was raining and there was no shelter until we got inside of the rooms ... well so we thought... it was raining inside also... seriously the roof was leaking in most of the rooms that we were given and then there was a bed short so one member had to share until the morning. That was just the start of the problems. The breakers kept going off, and then we had to phone and wait until they were reset, some of the group went without power in their room for 2 days as the breaker was in the managers quarters and he was away. On the second day the manager agreed to put some members in other rooms as their beds were falling apart.. this was done within the day and this did improve the groups moral.There was a issue over me having to pay for the additional rooms at the end of the stay which I refused.Bad - The kitchen is infested with cockroaches. The pool was unused as there was broken class in the bottom. The roofs leaked mike crazy with water running down the walls into the electrical sockets. All furniture was in poor condition. Hardly any hot water. Great risk of electrical shock as there were loose and broken leads everywhere and were leaking into the light sockets. Manager Steve behaved as though he was doing us a favor. Laundry facilities are non existent. Internet was terrible and it took 4 days to get a workable system. The entire place is filthy and needs a good clean.... This list could go on...Good - Very little. In fairness when the toaster broke they replaced it immediately. Staff were very pleasant but are very scared of the manager.Look we knew the type of property we were renting but we were assured by Steve that the previous poor reviews were unfair and the property was undergoing renovations, but would be complete by the time we arrive. The work was not complete, but if we were staying in the completed parts then i pity the people who visit after us.Believe me Da Arden has tremendous potential and with the right management could become very successful, but until that time... stay away!
