This hotel is a 5-minute drive from Johannesburg International Airport.     Decent stay near the airport.

    Stayed here for 1 night before we flew off to Cape Town.Pros:- Free airport shuttle was provided which we made use of for both to n fro and was on time.- Hotel along with the parking area was gated up and there was security manning the entrance.- Reception staff displayed a positive attitude and was singing and dancing to the tune of baby shark while we were checking in. - Room size was adequate and shower temperature was consistent. - Breakfast selection was adequate and taste was decent. Cons:- Room corridor had an old musky smell and some of the rooms require you to carry your luggage up a short flight of stairs (luckily our room didn't).

    Stairs to reach room, mediocre restaurant

    There may be rooms you can reach from the lift without stairs, but on 2 different occasions ours had stairs between the lift and the room… Not really convenient for a hotel near airport…Restaurant was mediocre : lots of meals and wine on the menu but not available. When finding something to order, poor quality and sometimes meal not like announced in the menu : cream sauce instead of tomato sauce.     The room was comfortable and the staff was very nice the service was excellent. We stored our luggage for a couple of hours before our flight and it was super easy. The location is not in a great area. It is directly in the airport flight path so the noise from the planes landing was horribly loud, you could even hear it in the room with the windows and doors closed.We wanted to cross the street to the mall and were told it was too dangerous to do so. we ended up taking an uber instead. There is a free shuttle to the airport and back however it is only every hour.     The rooms are ok ok.Very small rooms!Not enough lights!Washrooms are clean with good water flow.No Shataff in washrooms!!Staff is very arrogant !2 stars for the chef on duty who prepared a vegetable curry for us on special request! Each and every person of the staff seem to be working just for salaries! No politeness no warm welcoming as if they are robots! Racism at it's peak!Why to differentiate between people when all are paying same charges!Never had such experience in Holiday Inn in previous stays!Never again here!     Great place for transit stay.free shuttle every 30 minutes.hotel staff is good but hotel is getting old. basic to stay overnight.not far from east rand mall. Paid shuttle service is available
