    I picked this hotel because of its location, and I was not disappointed. It has direct connection to the mall with lots of food and shopping options. The area feels safe, day and night. Room is basic but very clean. Staff are nice.The hop-on-hop-off bus stop and Gautrain station is right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient for sightseeing and going to the airport. However, please be informed that the Gautrain only operates every 30 minutes in the weekend, with required transfer in Sandton, and that can add another 20-30 minutes, so the assumed 30-minute airport ride can go up to nearly 1.5 hours. You can use Uber which is plentiful and cheap in Johannesburg, but the traffic is bad.

    Pleasant stay and excellent location in the heart of the beautiful city

    My stay here was great. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff at reception and at breakfast and just around generally made it a pleasant stay. The staff were on hand to advise and assist. For example, my key card didn’t work when I got to my room and the housekeeping staff helped so I didn’t have to go back to reception (after an 11 hour flight they could see I was tired and with a suitcase!) and they came within 20 minutes to fix it. Breakfast had a good variety of buffet selection, with fresh eggs made how you want it, variety of juices and coffee and fruit. The room itself was big, good size bathroom with a bath tub and shower, fresh towels everyday. The only thing for me was the noise of some generator outside of my room (not sure if it was from the mall or hotel). There is a small pool - I didn’t use it as I was only in the hotel in the morning and evening but looked clean. Location of the hotel is brilliant - it is in the heart of Rosebank, and the hotel has straight access to Rosebank Mall via lift. The mall is right next door and it is a luxury, massive and great mall with loads of shops, supermarkets and restaurants - everything you could ask for in one place! The tour bus stops right outside the hotel (it is the first point of departure at 9am and every 40 minutes there on which was amazing as it dropped us back to the hotel after the tour). Rosebank station is 20 second walk from the hotel as well and you can get to Pretoria in 30 mins and to OR Tambo airport within the same time. So location is excellent, safe in the heart of the beautiful city. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am but if there is availability you can get a late check out for free until 2pm and after that it is 200 rand per hour. Just ask at reception. Pleasant stay and thank you very much, I would definitely recommend.

    As always, I choose my hotels based on TA reviews. Holiday Inn Rosebank lives up to the positive reviews that I’ve read so far. Check in was very smooth and I was in my room within a few minutes after arrival. The room was clean and very airy and it so happens that I had stayed at a hotel close by a few years ago, on my first visit to Johannesburg.The breakfast was excellent and for a non beef/pork eater, the large Lamb suasages went down like a treat. I was very happily gorging myself on it. I needed a quick lunch on one day, the lady at their restaurant was very knowledgeable and recommended a meal that was quick and filling. On the day of my check out, I needed a box to carry a few items and reception was quick to send someone with a box. Their service levels were extremely fast and I think it must be mentioned accordingly.I’d rate this hotel as being very good and can recommend this property to anyone who needs a hotel to stay.

    The Rosebank Holiday Inn is conveniently located on the edge of a shopping district providing an abundance of cafes, restaurants and eatery’s within walking district.The hotel was clean and well kept. We initially had trouble with our door not reading but staff were quick to move rooms and provided us a complimentary drink for the invonvenience.
