    I had the pleasure of staying at the Reef Hotel in Johannesburg, and I would like to share my excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by friendly, professional staff who were always available and willing to assist. Their outstanding service truly made my stay enjoyable.The overall environment is remarkable: the hotel is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and provide everything needed to feel at home.As for the dining experience, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food.     After a 24 hour trip, the receptionist claimed she could not see my reservation. An hour later she sorted this out. Had she been even slightly experienced, she would have know what to do. 2. THe room was freezing and i had to move to another room at 2 30 a.m. 3. The breakfast was so so.. 4. The location is dangerous and not fit for walking anywhere alone.     Smells horrible and filthy

    There was a horrible smell consistently. The towels are discolouring and the bedding too. The chairs in the bedroom have stains. Channels on TV not playing, aircon not working.     Great hotel with amazing breakfast!

    Great hotel in Johannesburg! Ideal location if you want to be in the heart of it all, close to Gandhi Square and other places of interest. Easy to get to the red bus meeting point by taxi, 12mins away. Room was modern and clean, with water, coffee sachets and milk provided each day. Hot water and water pressure is great! Breakfast was a splendid sight, lots of options, fresh omelettes made to order with juices and hot drinks too, plus fruit, pastries, and so much more! Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Nonceba from the dining area each morning, her smile makes the day start with positivity! The rooftop bar has great views of the city, and good music each night too! Great vibes at the hotel, thank you again!     Run away as far away as possible

    To be avoided at all costs. Absolutely horrible hotel, poorly maintained, aging, not in accordance with the photos... certainly one of our worst hotel experiences around the world. Nothing was in accordance with the promises (photos, descriptions...) on the booking site. The decor has aged badly, the hotel seems dirty, the elevators are sluggish and worrying, the card locks in the rooms no longer worked, forcing us to call a guard (and wait for him) each time we wanted to enter our room. On the roof, a roof-top bar reserved for a nightclub, the staff spoke very little English, difficult to make ourselves understood. The hotel apparently serves as a nightclub on weekends, also loud music until 4am, impossible to sleep. All the noise enters the rooms from outside and the corridor. The nightclub guests also rent rooms and so it's a constant parade through the corridors all night long of drunk people shouting and not respecting the sleep of the guests... we'll spare you the noisy sexual intercourse in the neighbouring rooms that results from this drinking. As for the restaurant, unacceptable! You are presented with a 2-page menu, but when you order, only 3 dishes are available. An absolute disaster. I advise you to book elsewhere.
