    We visited Botlierskop Village Lodge for one night on a flying tour of the Garden Route and I cannot recommend this highly enough. The reserve is a huge area around 60Km2 and the drives are fantastic. We had Kevin for the sunset and sunrise drive. His experience and knowledge was fantastic and we had multiple unforgettable experiences with the animals. The rooms/lodge/staff and facilities were immaculate with a group of unbelievably friendly staff who waited on our every need. The food was incredible. Value for money here is through the roof and an absolute must. It was the firm highlight of our 2 week road trip! Our group had Jaym as a guide and he was exceptional - incredibly knowledgeable, humorous, and observant of the wildlife and opportunities to see things out of the ordinary. And a great bartender!     Amazing family experience

    We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in the bush villas. Loved it. The place is beautiful, gives a real mixture of safari experiences and is very well equipped to deal with families with brilliant food and entertainment for kids. Ours are aged 10 and 7. Horseback safari was something we'd not done before plus the swimming pools and play areas for the kids were a big hit. Jaym was our superb guide who made it very special for us all and his enthusiasm was clear from the start. He was very accommodating to our questions and requests and the kids loved their own little ranger experience with him. He was also very aware of my photography and considered it when driving and stopping. We loved it and hope to return!     This game reserve was incredible. We enjoyed four drives in a very comfortable vehicle, seating nine across three rows. Our guide, Neil, was excellent—he was determined to make sure we saw everything, and he certainly delivered, even getting us up close to the lions.Our room was outstanding, featuring a huge and very comfortable four-poster bed. From our patio, we had beautiful views over the reserve. There was also a kitchen and lounge area with a log fire (which we didn’t need), and a spacious bathroom with a large bath, walk-in shower, and even an outdoor shower. The fluffy robes and towels, along with the quality toiletries, were a lovely touch.The food was delicious. We were on an all-inclusive meals package, though drinks were extra. There was a good selection of wine, although it was pricier than elsewhere in the area.
