    A delightful stay in a hotel filled with charm and atmosphere. Ideally located in the heart of the city centre, CHH offers a truly enjoyable and characterful experience. Although weekend evenings can occasionally be a little lively, the overall stay was excellent.The staff is warm, attentive and genuinely supportive. A wonderful tour to Stellenbosch was arranged for us, and we would particularly like to thank Banford and Domingo, our exceptionally knowledgeable guide and driver, for making the experience so memorable.

    what a lovely hotel - a beautiful old building, gorgeous rooms, amazing breakfasts and wonderful friendly staff. It's near a (very nice) bar so it can be noisy at night - ask when you're booking about getting a quiet room.

    This is our third time here and we loved it as much as the first time. It’s so relaxing as soon as you enter and receive a warm welcome from Bamford and the team. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with art on every wall. The bed is large and so comfortable with beautiful cotton bedding and the rainfall shower is incredible. In the evening we just stepped out of the backdoor into the courtyard to enjoy a chilled glass of wine and tasty chicken c/o Jerry’s Burger Bar. There are lots of other restaurants just a short walk from here and so you may hear their music from your room. But the Heritage have thought of everything and have provided earplugs but we have never found the need to use them - we slept perfectly well. This really is a special, beautiful and unique place to stay. Enjoy!

    Gem of a hotel

    We stayed at this fabulous boutique hotel for 4 nights. What a gem of a little hotel. I was concerned about the noise having read previous reviews, however I didn’t find it any more noisy than any other city hotel. All the staff were so friendly and breakfast, which is served in the courtyard was delicious. We ate at Bo Vine a couple of nights, which is a safe 5 minute walk away. We had a full day trip arranged for us by the hotel with Domingo’s Travel. A fantastic full day tour which I can highly recommend. If I visit Cape Town again I will definitely stay here.

    The staff were brilliant ,even though we kept asking basic questions which we should have known !.Nothing was too much trouble for them .Our room was spacious ,clean and it wasn’t noisy .Breakfast very good. Would recommend this hotel if you want a hotel with character .We would return and recommend
