Location

The hotel has 16 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     This was the fourth time I had stayed at the Coopmanhuijs. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. My room was well laid out and clean and tidy. The only slight criticism I had was that it overlooked a parasol below and therefore the view was obscured. There was always an excellent selection at breakfast and it was well presented. Dinner at Helena's was as excellent as ever. A varied menu, again well presented and with great service. Although I was a solo traveller I always felt safe as the hotel is in a central location and there was always someone outside the hotel making sure that I was never alone whilst waiting for a lift.     That was our first hotel in our last trip to SA. It is not bad at all, well located, and it might have some charm. I just found a couple of members from front staff a bit careless, more interested in the tip than an honest support.     An excellent 5 star hotel with all the traditional old style service to go with it, plus all the necessary conveniences of a modern bathroom. The food , staff and accommodation were all faultless. It was a last minute booking for us but it won’t be the last time we go there. Situated in the heart of stunning Stellenbosch, within walking distance of fabulous galleries, shops and restaurants . The town has a wonderful energy about it.
