Nice hotel but lacking in basic amenities.

    rating23 May 2026

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The hotel is situated a 10 minute drive outside of Stellenbosch. There isn't a restaurant other than for breakfast and there are no other dining facilities anywhere close by, so you really require a car here. The security is good, behind a large sliding gate. Both of the 2 swimming pools are nice with good sun loungers and amazing views. The room was okay. The bedroom was a bit in the small size, although the bathroom was a good size and the shower enormous. Bathroom fittings were modern and there were twin sinks. The thing we didn't like was there wasn't a TV and in a country like SA where you are in bed quite early, we really missed this. The internet was also pretty intermittent in our room, so we couldn't download anything on to a tablet etc.The other anomaly was there wasn't a proper wardrobe, just a peg type place to hang 3 or 4 coat hangers. There was an in room safe. The breakfasts were acceptable although quite limited in choice. We wouldn't return though due to lack of TV as surely in this day and age that's a prerequisite for a hotel.

    Feels like being in Spain

    rating12 Dec 2025

Charming, peaceful hacienda like setting. Well maintained premises. Exquisite vistas.Huge room, huge bathroom. Nice favours in bathroom like make up remover wipes. Toiletries smell so so nice. Breakfast is decent to kick-start the day. Loved their concept of honesty bar.Only issue no dinner offered on site and eateries are 10 mins away by car.

    Tiny rooms

    rating18 Nov 2025

The rooms are so tiny and there is no proper wardrobe to put your luggage away and out of site. There is no tv in the rooms. The bathrooms are modern and the shower is stunning. The room size is a major issue for me as I would have booked a bigger room.

A Stay That Misses the Four-Star Mark

    rating11 Sept 2025

The property offers spacious rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and spa-quality toiletries, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and parking. Breakfast is adequate, and the landscaped grounds provide a pleasant, quiet setting. However, the experience falls short of four-star expectations. Complimentary bottled water was only supplied on the first day, and additional bottles had to be purchased. Standard amenities such as on-site dining beyond breakfast, a fitness center, concierge services, room service, 24-hour reception, a flat-screen TV, and work desk were notably absent. While a Nespresso machine was provided, coffee pods came at an extra cost.Rather than delivering a sense of comfort and luxury, the hotel felt deserted after dark, with no facilities, no atmosphere, and not even a television available. What could have been a refined four-star stay was instead a quiet but underwhelming experience.
