    Everything was fine . Good value for money , clean and large rooms with good view . The breakfast is excellent and deserve a 6 stars on 5 . But the place remains bit isolated from the city .

    Elephant Hide in Knysna delivers an exceptional experience from start to finish. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with breathtaking views that immediately make you slow down and relax. The accommodation is stylish, comfortable and immaculately maintained, with real attention to detail throughout.What truly makes Elephant Hide stand out is the hospitality. A special mention must go to Fish and John, who were absolutely wonderful. Their warmth, professionalism and genuine care made the stay feel personal and effortless. Nothing was too much trouble, and their knowledge, kindness and attentiveness elevated the entire experience.This is hospitality at its very best – calm, thoughtful and quietly excellent. We left feeling refreshed, and well looked after. Highly recommended.

    Excellent place, rooms are lovely and view is fabulous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good for both breakfast and evening meal. Only criticism would be that the dinner menu is a little restricted and it does not change from day to day.

    It’s a nice place to stay. It is a way from where there are restaurants etc. there is an in house restaurant. The food needed to be ordered by 4pm, you also had to book in for dinner so the food was ready. Food was ok. The facilities were good. We stayed during a period of renovations which we found out about when we checked in. We were sent a complimentary bottle of wine on a day that was particularly noisy. I think there were more tradesmen renovating than guests. We did notice previous guests had concerns and made recommendations and they had been addressed. The phone numbers in the room didn’t connect when we called. A small jug of water was easily finished, could do with bigger jugs. We only met one staff member, Fish, who was so obliging and honestly did his best. He seemed to have a great deal to do and guests seemed to make him nervous.

    Lovely lodge but needs some TLC

    The lodge was nice and staff were lovely. However, the lodge lacked basic amenities which I feel they need to improve on. Areas of improvement;- water to be supplied in each bedroom- Phone to call reception should be in each room- Breakfast should include water to drink.
