    Freezing cold rooms, reception unhelpful

    My room was freezing. The climate control in the rooms does not heat the rooms, only blows cold air. There is a notice above the remote control saying to contact reception if you require a heater. I did. I was told there were no more heaters available as they were “all in the rooms”. When I said my room was freezing and uncomfortable, I was told “there are extra blankets in the cupboard.” It was 5.30 in the afternoon and I did not want to go to bed. They were not able or willing to help me. This was a trip for work, my company booked me there, but I have advised the company that it is an awful place to put people. I certainly would not book this for myself if it were up to me, and I would not recommend it to anyone else either.

    Exceptionally poor customer service

    I booked room 201 on the 23rd of April 2026 for my partner and myself. I immediately paid R1550.70 and I asked whether I will be able to charge my cell phone in the room as I had to make some urgent calls. The lady at reception who did my booking assured me that I could use the phone in the room to do the urgent calls. We went to our room and after I put my partner into bed I tried to make an outside call without any success. I immediately went back to reception for assistance but found the night staff on duty and inspite of all my attemps to get assistance nobody on duty were able to assist.

    Unpleasant visit

    We decided to go there for our anniversary and was looking for a nice stay over and buffet dinner and when I did the booking, I specifically asked about the buffet and they told us that by that time, they would have started with buffet dinners which was not the case when we arrived - it only started the next day and we were only there for the one night. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait a were long time for someone to assist with check in - not that there were many people to help - there were nobody at reception!!I woke up in the middle of the night in a very warm room and realized that the aircon was not working and we could not get it started again - very unpleasant sleep the rest of the night.Breakfast time the lady doing the eggs was not there when we wanted a fried eggs and we stood there with our plates for quite a long time before someone called her from the kitchen to assist us.The hotel will most definitely don't see me again and I will also not recommend any one to go there.

    Rude and overpriced-No AC..

    It's not the best hotel I have stayed in. Also, it's not the cheapest price. However, you do not get for what you pay.The AC in the rooms is on timers and goes off every 20 minutes or so. Then you have to call the reception to reset the AC. Move rooms twice because of this. Staff from reception come to the room to look. But it nothing was done. We had to move room. In the first room, the safe was missing. Wow, so then you just ask yourself how safe this hotel is. The est is that the reception does not know where the safe is. Don't housekeeping check the rooms before arrival.Then there were the rude reception ladies that you had to deal with. They need training in customer service. No help from them at all. (2 did help us. But the other 2 were useless)

    Garden court is always good. The hotel has a casino with it and the place is a buzz in the casino at night. Just become complicated to fill in a few forms to go and spend some time in the casino. Sad that each guest needs to complete these forms. A bit tedious. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant. You have to use one in the casino. Food was average rating.
