    Rooms are large and modern with an updated bathroom. Large walk in shower with great water pressure. Area has lots of restaurants within walking distance and I felt safe with my two teenage daughters walking around at night. Restaurant:bar on the 6th floor is good for breakfast and the bar drinks were delicious. Customer service was excellent throughout our whole stay. I would recommend to anyone coming to Cape Town.

    Great city Centre hotel. Modern contemporary conversion. Super, friendly staff (although sometimes a little slow), great dining room / bar / small pool area. But what I like the most was the atmosphere. Guests, diners and drinkers coming and going with a chilled out, mix of people. Really like it.

    Lovely bar with great decor and a cool ambience - we sat in the covered rooftop part and if was less windy we could have sat outside in another part of the open rooftop - cocktails were delicious and although we didn’t eat here, other peeps’ food looked good!

    We had a wonderful stay at Gorgeous George. We are a family of 5 and we booked a one bedroom suite and a 2 bedroom suite. Both rooms were so spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable too. The rooftop restaurant was a lovely spot for breakfast each morning and the service by everyone at the hotel was excellent. It is located downtown, in the CBD, which as some reviewers have noted is a little sketchy at night, but we were never concerned about our safety. It was more just a few people loitering around. Also, the hotel has someone at the door and we got Ubers easily to restaurants (Camps Bay and the V & A), and one night walked to a restaurant close by. By day, the area is vibrant and definitely worth exploring with a great market right on St George's Mall. Another bonus is a fabulous food market right next door and great coffee shops all around.

    We stayed for 3 nights in August. The staff could not have been more helpful, the rooms are immaculate and the rooftop restaurant & bar is a gem. While the CBD isn’t the best area, you can get Ubers safely dropping you near the hotel door and the hotel has security on watch 24 hours so really nothing to worry about as long as you’re sensible.
